The Study Of Qian Shi’s Poems And Proses

Qian Shi(1175-1244),whose given name is "Zishi" and who styled himself as "Rongtang".He was a famous scholar during the Southern Song Dynasty,with achievements in scripture,literature and education.Qian Shi survives 316 poems and 59 proses,rich in content and diverse literary genres,both artistic and ideological.In order to have a comprehensive understanding of Qian Shi’s literary creation,this paper takes Qian Shi’s poetry and literature as the research object,takes Qian Shi’s life and family history as the research background,and launches a study on the content,thought and artistic characteristics of his poetry and literature creation.The full paper is divided into three parts,namely,the introduction,the body,and the conclusion.In the introductory part,the reason and significance of his paper are discussed,the current status of research and relevant research materials are carefully sorted out,and it is clear that the significance of the paper is to explore the connotation of Qian Shi’s poetry and literature and to show the whole picture of his literary creation.The main text is divided into the following three areas: Firstly,the life and creative works of Qian Shi are sorted out,including his life,family history,friendships and writings.Secondly,to explore the subject matter and artistic characteristics of Qian Shi’s poetry.The poems are divided into two categories: scenic poems and poems about daily life.The scenic poems depict the changing landscape of nature and express the perceptions and experiences of people and academic thoughts;the poems about daily life take the trivial aspects as the objects of expression,covering personal life,family and friends gathering,and expressing the poet’s leisure and elegance and ideals.The artistic characteristics of the poems are mainly in the genre of aphorisms,which is agile and light,and the language is fresh and elegant,common and shallow;the artistic expressions are rich,using such techniques as arguments and allusions to reflect the themes and ideological connotations of the poems.Thirdly,to explore the content,emotions,ideas and artistic characteristics of Qian Shi’s proses.The prose category of "journals" in Qian Shi includes building journals,landscape travel journals,and miscellaneous journals.The content of building journals is mainly to depict the landscape,sort out the history of architecture,and examine the knowledge of architecture,and to praise the subject is the embodiment of its entertainment function,and the ideological content reflects the Confucian concept of morality,aspiration,ethics and education.The travelogue of the landscape expresses the feelings of sorrow for the past and the present,and the criticism of the long-established problems of Buddhism and Taoism.The academic records among the miscellaneous records explain personal educational thoughts and attitudes towards relevant educational policies;the material records are mainly to show the wonder of things and to explore the connotation of the character of things,with a distinctive reasoning;the travelogues record the detailed experiences of Yang Jian,the late teacher of Qian Shi,with sincere emotions and true narration.The "preface" category includes two kinds of prefaces: the preface to a gift and the preface to a book.The preface to a gift has the main content of exhorting officials to be diligent and thrifty,encouraging scholars to understand the scriptures and cultivate their hearts,and praising the wonder of the skills of the magician;the preface to a book has the theme of expressing Confucian academic thought and literary views.The artistic characteristics of Qian Shi’s prose are the most distinctive in terms of argumentative,with various methods of discussion,prominent main ideas and appropriate reasoning;sincere lyricism,straightforward expression of the heart,but also able to return to reason,maintaining restraint,and appropriate emotional intensity;true narrative,simple and light writing style,easy and common language,reproducing the original picture of events in dialogue and details.The concluding section evaluates Qian Shi’s literary creations and summarizes the status and value of his poetic and literary creations.The strengths and weaknesses of his poetry and prose creations are divided,and then his poetry and prose creations are compared and contrasted in a comprehensive manner,comparing the ideology and artistry of both.
