Research On The Form Of Dongba Characters And Its Application Value In Contemporary Design

Dongba writing form is a kind of historical and cultural relics with the background of ethnic cultural integration,which contains ethnic visual culture,design thinking and design methods,which has very important research significance and contemporary design application value.The symbolic characteristics of Dongba script form meet the needs of contemporary information communication,and its pictographic and interesting nature provide many usable design elements,design thinking and design expression forms for contemporary design,forming a new visual expression language and enriching the contemporary design vocabulary.This paper mainly discusses the application value of contemporary design of Dongba character form,and comprehensively adopts literature research method,case analysis method and interdisciplinary research method.Firstly,starting from the characteristics of Dongba character form,the three symbolic attributes of Dongba character form,such as imagery,directivity and symbolism,are analyzed.This paper summarizes the visual aesthetic artistic symbols,historical emotional symbols,design symbols of information transmission and unique ethnic symbols of Dongba character form,explores the design semiotic basis of Dongba character form,including the definition of design symbol system,its movement characteristics and value system,summarizes the overall imitation and feature absorption of Dongba character form,and the composition law of symbol symbols by static writing.Then,the design thinking modes of Dongba’s character form,such as the "image" thinking of "looking at objects and taking images",the multi-angle of "looking up and inspecting",the imagery thinking of "wonderful images",and the overall thinking of "juxtaposition of shapes and sounds" were analyzed.Through the design application expression of single elements,multiple elements,combined ideologies and multiple perspectives of Dongba character form,the contemporary design application cases and practical achievements of Dongba character form are explored,the problems in design application are put forward,and the design methods of Dongba character form are summarized.Finally,the artistic aesthetic value,social function value and commercial development value of Dongba character form are summarized.With the development of contemporary design,Dongba character form tends to integrate the development of traditional continuation and contemporary reconstruction,with the gradual deepening of the influence of digital media,and breaks through its own design category,"crossover" to other design fields,trying to show people more profound value contained in Dongba text form.
