The Study On The Relationship Between Marital Security And Intimate Relationship Satisfaction Of Youth

With the rapid development of the society,the divorce rate keeps climbing,and the marriage intention of the young people of the right age keeps declining,which leads to the continuous decline of the birth population,and the problem of unmarried infertility has become a hot topic in the current society.In recent years,a series of vicious events caused by the contradiction of marriage and love make the majority of unmarried young people more afraid of marriage and love.Therefore,the single population base is increasingly large,a large number of "leftover men and women" phenomenon.This has aroused the attention and heated discussion of the whole society and become a social problem urgently to be solved in China.In this context,more and more researchers pay attention to the quality of young people’s love and marriage.In the process of talking with people around who have love and marriage experience,the researchers found that the current young people generally have high material needs in love and marriage,hoping that their partners can give them more security.According to the principle of social psychology,marital security is an important factor affecting intimate relationship satisfaction.Therefore,this study attempts to study the relationships among the four factors of marriage and love security,social comparative tendency,conflict coping style and intimate relationship satisfaction of the current youth group.It is hoped to provide some valuable theoretical reference and practical suggestions for social psychological service practice to improve the quality of love and marriage of young people.This study adopts a combination of questionnaire survey and interview research.Psychological measurement tools such as marriage and love security questionnaire,social comparative tendency questionnaire,conflict coping style questionnaire and intimate relationship satisfaction questionnaire were used.A questionnaire survey was conducted on 486 young people with previous love and marriage experiences to explore the relationship between the young people’s love and marriage security,social comparative tendency,conflict coping style and intimate relationship satisfaction.At the same time,four interviewees were interviewed,and the grounded theory was adopted to encode and analyze the interview data,so as to investigate a series of coherent and vivid psychological changes and processes shown by individuals in the process of marriage and love.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)Young people’s sense of security in love and marriage,social comparative tendency,conflict coping style and intimate relationship satisfaction are all correlated.(2)Young people’s sense of marital security can positively predict their intimate relationship satisfaction.(3)The level of social comparative tendency affects young people’s sense of security in love and marriage,and also affects their satisfaction degree of intimate relationship.The improvement of young people’s sense of security in love and marriage can reduce individuals’ social comparative tendency,and thus improve their satisfaction degree of intimate relationship.(4)Individuals with low sense of security in love and marriage tend to choose destructive conflict coping strategies when they have conflicts with their partners,such as leaving and ignoring,which causes cracks in the relationship and reduces their satisfaction with intimate relationship;Individuals with a high sense of security in love and marriage adopted more constructive conflict coping strategies,such as discussion and loyalty,to improve their intimate relationship satisfaction.(5)The discussion and departure dimensions of social comparative tendencies and conflict coping styles played a chain mediating role in the influence of marital security on intimate relationship satisfaction.Young people’s worry relationship,external orientation and control relationship of marriage and love security have different degrees of influence on the frequency of contrast in intimate relationship and the resulting emotional response,and then influence their subsequent coping strategies when encountering conflicts,and ultimately influence their satisfaction with the relationship.
