Traditional Chinese New Year paintings are representatives of excellent folk art in China,and the image of door gods is an important part of it.The evolution of the image of the door god has experienced from the beginning of the Han Dynasty,to the further enrichment of the Tang and Song Dynasties,to the prosperity of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.There were many famous door gods in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,each with its own characteristics,leaving precious artistic wealth for future generations.The development and evolution of the image of the door god in the traditional paintings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties are closely related to the social background in which they are located,mainly reflected in the following three points:First,on the content side,social stability and scientific and cultural advances have driven the shift in the demand for the function of the image of the door god from exorcism in the past to blessing and blessing.The theme of "Fulu Shouxicai" door god year painting has become a mainstream product in the market and has been widely circulated.Secondly,influenced by the theory of Western painting,Menshen’s image has been greatly reformed in terms of methods of expression and perspective,and the artistic style has also changed from simple and rough to delicate and exquisite.Third,due to the maturity of printing technology,the production level and production efficiency of Menshen’s painting have been greatly improved.It changed from a single expression to various art forms and appeared as a commodity in every house.The appearance and expansion of woodblock painting workshops in the Ming and Qing Dynasties led to several production centers nationwide.Folk painters created related door-god paintings in large numbers.During this period,the number and quality of door-god paintings were unprecedented.The image of the door god in the traditional Chinese New Year paintings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties is widely based,vivid in shape,elegant in color form and common in appreciation,and the artistic value is intriguing.This article deals with the image of the door god in the traditional Chinese New Year paintings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the following five chapters:The first chapter begins with the topic,discussing the background of the topic and the subject of the study,and clarifying the purpose and meaning of the study.At present,the current state of research on the image of the traditional painting gate gods in the Ming and Qing Dynasties at home and abroad,and the relevant literature materials are listed and summarized to form the research methods and content of this article,as well as the innovations;The second chapter begins with the formation and development of the image of the door god in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and explores the evolution of its formal elements.The New Year’s Painting of the Door God has formed a systematic and perfect painting style due to the wide market demand.The complete printing technology and the introduction of Western culture brought favorable conditions for the development of the image of door gods in the Ming and Qing Dynasties;The third chapter focuses on analyzing the artistic features of the image of door gods in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Discuss the unique composition change and the use of focal perspective.Systematic research on the formal elements,modeling laws and aesthetic characteristics of the image of the door god;The fourth chapter is mainly a comparative study of the image of door gods in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Explore the functions and uses of Wumen God and Wenmen God in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and their significant differences.Analyze and interpret the commonality and personality of the images of the court and the folk door gods,and deeply explore the changes of artistic perspectives in the context of the times;The fifth chapter summarizes in depth the revelation and significance of the image of the door god on contemporary art in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.As a prosperous art form,the image of the door god influenced contemporary art in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and provided inspiration for the creation of contemporary art.The full text aims to explore the artistic value of traditional paintings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties,focus on the study of the image of the door god,analyze the internal law of the formation and development of the door god shape,and interpret the aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotation of the door god image.In order to contribute to the sustainable development of the image of door gods in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
