Jiangnan carving in Ming and Qing Dynasties is a symbol element of Chinese carving and a symbol of inheritance of traditional culture.It is a part of absorbing national folk culture.In the creation,the author draws lessons from the relief sculpture,round carving and hollow carving in the sculpture to create the series of works "Under the Fusang Tree".The sculpture in the South of the Yangtze River in Ming and Qing Dynasties is transformed into Chinese landscape painting.The combination of jiangnan sculpture and landscape painting in Ming and Qing dynasties should inherit the elements of landscape carving,absorb and apply the extension of wood carving stylized language to composition,compress due space,the expression form of ink and brush,and integrate traditional elements with modern elements in landscape painting.This paper is divided into four chapters to describe,respectively.The first chapter is the introduction,which is based on the background and theme-related content,literature review at home and abroad,and the importance of research purpose and significance.The second chapter describes the graduation creation.During the research investigation in Quanzhou,I was lucky to see a dower in the exhibition hall of master Hongyi’s hobby collectors,which inspired my graduation creation.The third chapter is the creation process,analysis of modeling characteristics,spirit,compression space modeling method,the use of brush and ink and the influence of wood carving stylized language on composition;The fourth chapter summarizes the creation of the series of works "Under the Fusang Tree".The author has a strong interest in the Ming and Qing carving patterns and makes in-depth exploration,and finally presents them on the innovative picture,which is also a spiritual pursuit process of the author.
