Research On Bone Artifacts In The Western Zhou Dynasty Capital Area

The study of bone tools in the capital area of Western Zhou is conducive to exploring the development and evolution of bone tools in Western Zhou and comprehensively understanding the characteristics of bone tools in Western Zhou.This paper comprehensively collects bone artifact materials from archaeological excavations in Zhouyuan site,Fenghao site and Luoyi area,and makes a detailed analysis of bone artifacts in the Western Zhou capital area represented by the above sites.The full text contains the following parts:The introduction part defines the time range and spatial scope of the research objects in this paper,explains the relevant concepts of bone tools,and summarizes and reviews the previous studies related to bone tools in the Western Periphery.The main text first divides the bone artifacts of the Western Zhou capital into six categories according to their use,namely production tools,living utensils,decorations,carriage and horse tools,weapons and others,and on this basis,the bone artifacts found in the Zhouyuan site,Fenghao site and Luoyi area are counted and classified.Then,the typology analysis of typical bone tools unearthed in the capital area of Western Zhou was carried out,and the bone shovels,bone cones,bone chisels and corner cones in production tools,bone daggers in living utensils,bone bars and bone tubes in ornaments,horn pliers and bone buckles in carriage and horse tools,and bone cymbals in weapons were classified and divided.On the basis of typological analysis,the bone artifacts in the capital area of Western Zhou were divided into three phases: morning,middle and evening,and it was concluded that the number of bone tools in the capital area of Western Zhou first decreased and then increased,and the change of type showed gradual development changes.According to the regional characteristics of bone tools in the capital of Western Zhou,the regional differences of bone tools are mainly reflected in the quantity,the relic units of the unearthed bone tools,the types of tools,the specific types of various bone tools,and the overall development trend of bone tools.Finally,the raw materials,bone making process,product types and production management of bone making in the Western Zhou Dynasty are discussed.The concluding part summarizes and summarizes the full text.
