In modern society, more and more people are facing various kinds of anxiety and pressure, such as work pressure, graduation pressure, fertility pressure and so on.Meditation has gained more and more attention in recent years as people seek various ways to relieve stress. The text is excerpted from Total Meditation,a book written by Indian-American author Deepak Chopra,M.D..The translator chose the second part‘Your Life Is Your Meditation’(partial chapters)and the third part‘Let Your Body Guide You’as a practice report on English to Chinese. The two parts mainly discuss the nature of meditation, thoughts, consciousness and their influence on life and then turn to the description of dissociation and connection of body and mind, which helps people to have a cure and be liberated from pain and suffering. As an informative text,it features plain language with some professional words, polysemous words, some long and difficult sentences and good ways of discourse connection. To achieve a better textual transplant between two languages, the translator applies the Eco-translatology proposed by Hu Gengshen as the theoretical guidance.Based on the isomorphic metaphor of translational ecology and natural ecology, the theory has established an effective explanatory discourse, signifying the interaction of translation subject and the translational environment with the concepts of "ecology","balance" "transplantation","adaptation and selection"(Hu,2021).In practice, the translator actively adapts to the translational eco-environment,carrying out the method of three-dimensional transformation to realize the adaptive selection of the text.Linguistic dimension stresses on the transformation of linguistic form;cultural dimension underlines the transformation of connotation of different cultures and realizes the cultural equivalence as much as possible;communicative dimension puts more emphasis on the carrying out of the communicative intention of the source text.Through the translation practice, the translator aims to create a text with the highest integration degree in selection and adaptation and provide other learners with a reference from the ecological perspective about the related themes.Meanwhile, she wants more people to know about meditation and absorb some useful elements.
