A Study Of Peng Xuejun’s Children’s Novels From The Perspective Of Xiangxi Culture

Peng Xuejun created a series of novels with the regional color of Xiangxi,most of which originated from the writer’s childhood.Even if the writer left Xiangxi for "transgender" writing,there is still the shadow of Xiangxi culture in the novels.There are complex and diverse relations between literature and regional culture.It is a topic to study the regional culture which is hidden or clearly contained in the novel creation,and it is also a topic that is often said and always new.This paper takes Peng Xuejun’s children’s novels as a foothold,absorbs the relevant academic research results,and takes Xiangxi culture as the breakthrough point to study Peng Xuejun’s children’s novels.It makes a close reading of the text,excavates the unique expression of Xiangxi culture,explores the spiritual core of regional culture expressed in the novels,and explores the unique significance and value of Peng Xuejun’s literary creation.The first chapter discusses the process of Peng Xuejun’s children’s novel creation by combining her life experience and her perception of Xiangxi culture.The creative practice of Peng Xuejun’s children’s novels on Xiangxi culture mainly goes through three stages: the creation focusing on Xiangxi’s childhood,the transformation from paying attention to self to paying attention to others,and the creation of "returning" to Xiangxi.It is also Peng Xuejun’s understanding of Xiangxi culture that gradually deepens and internalizes that Xiangxi culture changes from dominance to recessive and then to rewriting in Peng Xuejun’s children’s novels.The second chapter takes Peng Xuejun’s early childhood novels as the main research object,and studies the cultural patterns of his children’s novels from four aspects: the natural landscape,folk culture,characters and dialect folk songs in Xiangxi Wu Feng Chu Yu’s Xiangxi world provides abundant materials for Peng Xue’s creation.In her literary creation,she shows children readers the multi-faceted real world of Xiangxi,not only a beautiful "utopia",but also a heavy burden of life,which expands the depth and breadth of Peng Xuejun’s children’s novel writing.The third chapter focuses on the cultural core of Xiangxi in Peng Xuejun’s children’s novels.With the gradual deepening of writers’ cognition of Xiangxi culture and children’s literature,Xiangxi culture is related to Peng Xuejun’s creative concept.The novel text is not limited to the early works,the view of life and death,the view of animism and other Xiangxi cultures gradually internalized into the main vein of Peng Xuejun’s creation,which runs through his children’s novels and always shapes the writer’s aesthetic pursuit.The fourth chapter explains the value and significance of Xiangxi culture in Peng Xuejun’s children’s novels.The regional space of Peng Xuejun’s life from Xiangxi to Gannan the regional culture involved in his novels expanded from Xiangxi culture to Jiangxi culture and Tibetan culture.But as the cultural cornerstone of Peng Xuejun’s early life,Xiangxi culture is of great significance to his children’s literature creation.In his works,he has been consciously reflecting on modernization and thinking about culture,which plays a universal paradigm role in the writing of regional culture from the perspective of children’s literature...
