| In the 14 th century,Europe came to the end of the dark Middle Ages under feudal rule and gradually stepped into the Renaissance which became an important period of in the awakening of humanity in Europe.Humanism,the core idea of the Renaissance,led to the rapid development of literature,art,and music.With the gradual penetration of the humanistic spirit in all fields,people’s sense of autonomy began to awaken.Humanism does not simply oppose religious music,but advocates people-oriented,calls for human freedom,affirms human worth and dignity,and enjoys the pleasure of the present world.With the development of Humanism,the dominant role of religious music was gradually weakened,and many musicians began to add secularized musical components to religious works,enriching the musical content of the humanistic spirit.Orlando Di Lasso(c.1532-1594,hereinafter referred to as “Lasso”),the master of the Flemish school in the late Renaissance,travelled from country to different country,drawing on and assimilating the musical styles and characteristics of different countries,and composed2000 works in his lifetime,which covered a wide range of musical genres.Through the collection and collation of materials related to Lasso,the analysis reveals that the research on musicology of Lasso is constantly enriched and deepened,but the research on the humanistic characteristics of Lasso’s musical works is relatively shallow.Therefore,the author summarizes the humanistic characteristics of Lasso’s musical works by clarifying the concept of humanism and the difference between Humanism and anthropocentric humanism,selecting the “human culture” in some of Lasso’s religious works and secularized works and defining the historical and cultural background,musical writing techniques and artistic style of the late Renaissance.This paper is composed of six chapters.The first chapter is an introductory section,which describes the research background,research significance,current research status,research objects and research methodology of this topic.The second chapter is the textual exposition part,which firstly discusses the concepts and development of Humanism and anthropocentric humanism respectively,and secondly summarizes the humanistic spirit embedded in Renaissance music by comparing the understanding perspectives and the differences between Humanism and anthropocentric humanism in literature.The third chapter analyzes the social environment,personal experience,the influence of Flemish school and the prosperity of secular music culture in the 16 th century,so as to determine the reason for the formation of Lasso’s humanistic ideas.The fourth chapter summarizes the main characteristics of Lasso’s Humanism through the nature of his most representative “human culture’ religious works and secularized works.The fifth chapter outlines the spirit of the times and aesthetic values represented by Lasso’s Humanism.The sixth chapter concludes with a summary of the main text,which summarizes the spirit of Humanism in Lasso’s musical works from the perspectives of social impact,edification and entertainment function. |
