Renaissance is the regeneration of spirit of people, or the revival of a cultural standard. After a long Middle Ages, it appears the awakening of humanism. Humanism is the emphasis on individual dignity and worth of a philosophical attitude, and is an ideological movement for a culture of the Middle Ages throughout Europe. Tit for tat with the medieval scholasticism, the Renaissance is an important direction. This humanistic thought has also led to some changes in the musical style of the composer when the conscious pursuit of better performance with music lyrics, phonology, meaning and emotion, music and poetry more closely together. Renaissance is not only there were a lot of musical styles with a strong personality is completely different from the past, and ultimately the formation of an all over Western Europe, the international language of music and a series of important musical genre. Musicians are no longer viewed merely as the servant of the Church or artistic craftsman, but as a creative artist. They both facing the afterlife for this life, and hope that through my work to be accepted by God, but also get people to understand and appreciate. They pursue of liberation from the bondage of the medieval way of thinking and composition, to make music with more of the human personality and emotional performance.Renaissance has happened in Europe that time, Humanism has appeared unparalleled imagination in philosophy、science、literature、art etc. This has contributed to the development of European secular music greatly. But very little information about the Renaissance, European secular music, the lack of systematic detailed descriptions are described and analyzed. This paper attempts are described and analyzed from the secular music of the period of two lines, first line:the development context of the secular music of the Renaissance, the second line: humanism thought "God" and "man" music in the form the blend of dialogue and emotional. Found in the literature, the description is basically the secular music of the period from the perspective of the music-based elaboration and analysis, the paper attempts to the field of ontology development and the period of the secular music of the period of religious, social and cultural life, education, philosophy combination of mining and elaborate social and cultural connotation, from which to explore the secular music of the period of the development of humanities content.This thesis consists of the introduction and four chapters. The introduction described the background and Research on this topic. The first chapter is devoted to the History of the development of secular music. The second chapter is the impact of humanism on the development of secular music. The third chapter describes the status of the heyday of secular music. The last is the historical value of the Renaissance secular music.
