Li Dazhao ’s early Min Yi thought is divided into Min Yi ’s political view and Min Yi ’s historical view,which embodies the combination of traditional people-oriented thought and western political philosophy,and contains certain materialism and dialectics.This is the theoretical basis for Li Dazhao to explore the relationship between Confucianism and Marxism.After the May Fourth Movement,Li Dazhao gradually criticized the political,moral and historical views of traditional Confucianism with Marxism as a theoretical weapon.The political view of Confucianism takes the realization of ’ internal saints and external kings ’ as the idea of governing the world,and advocates relying on moral education to solve social ills.Li Dazhao corrects the traditional thought of rule of virtue by reconciling class struggle with social mutual aid theory.The political system in ancient China is inseparable from morality and ethics.The criticism of autocratic politics also means the criticism of traditional morality that is compatible with autocratic regimes.Based on Marxist historical materialism,Li Dazhao believed that the alienated Confucian morality under the feudal system would be eliminated by the historical trend.Moreover,the traditional Han Confucian historical view contains mysticism and theoretical defects such as theocracy and destiny.Li Dazhao opposed a priori predestination with the experience generation of historical laws,reinterpreted the laws and dynamics of historical evolution,and carried out in-depth and thorough criticism and reflection on the traditional historical view.With the increasingly firm belief in Marxism,Li Dazhao tried to integrate the people-oriented thought,benevolence morality and the concept of great harmony in Confucianism with Marxist philosophy and scientific socialism to construct a philosophical system with Chinese characteristics.Specifically,this is reflected in the political,moral and historical fields.First,Li Dazhao tried to integrate the traditional people-oriented thought and proletarian democratic politics,and advocated the establishment of " civilian politics."
