A Study Of Li Dazhao 's Thought From The Perspective Of Modernity

Modernity, originated from western countries in sixteenth century is inevitable.Due to history issues, China as a developing country needs to be modernize to be powerful as soon as possible since the Opium War broke out. Many Chinese people participated in the career of Chinese modernization. Am ong them, Li Dazhao did well in introducing Marxism to Chinese people and constructing modernity in China.So the author will analyze Li Dazhao’ s thoughts in four parts as follo ws. In the first part, basic things of this research will be introduced including the purpose, significance, the methods and so on. In the second part, it will introduce the definition concept of modernity and nationality and the analysis of the necessity and feasibility on the relationship between modernity and nationality. The third part has three chapters. In chapter1, the background of Li Dazhao’s thoughts of fusion of nationality and modernity will be simply introduced. Chapter2 will survey Li Dazhao’ s thoughts development. In the m eanwhile, his theories such as Min Y i, the Third Civilization will be highlighted. Chapter3 will talk about Li Dazhao’s contributions and the enlightenment of his thoughts to the modernity of China. At last, the author will sum up what is said above and point what should be further discussed.
