A Brief Study On The Literary And Artistic Activities Of The Five Universities In Huaxiba During The Wa

The westward migration of Chinese culture and academics during the Anti-Japanese War became the "Three Cultural Dams" landscape in the Southwest Rear Area.Five Christian Universities jointly run schools in Huaxiba,Chengdu,making Huaxiba a cultural sacred place,an important academic center and a window for foreign exchanges in the rear of the Anti-Japanese War.Compared with Chongqing Shapingba and Hanzhong Guluba,the academic circles pay less attention to Chengdu Huaxiba,and there is a lack of systematic research on the cultural activities of the five christian universities.Research on the Five Christian Universities of Huaxiba in Chengdu during the war,is the concrete practice of the study of Chinese literature and cultural community since the war.As a case study of cultural communities in wartime,investigating the literature and cultural activities of the five christian universities in Huaxiba is of great value to the collage and reproduction of the complete literary map of the 1940s.This article attempts to restore the situation of the cultural activities of the five universities at that time,analyze the conditions for the development of literature and cultural activities,and clarify the significance of the historical activities of the five universities to modern Chinese literature.The first chapter shows the environment in which the five universities have carried out cultural activities.First of all,this chapter discusses two changes in the original church characteristics of the five universities,and explains the positive influence of church factors on the various careers of the school.Subsequently,it describes the daily life of the students of the five universities during the war,presenting their daily life scenes such as clothing,food,housing,and transportation.Finally,it is clear that literary and artistic activities are in the background of overlapping church factors and war atmosphere.The second chapter introduces several literature and art publications of the five universities.This chapter mainly focuses on comprehensive publications such as "Yenjing News" and "Youth Corner",as well as literature and art publications such as "Siwen" and "Chinese Monthly".Then,it sorts out these publications,and at the same time,shows the characteristics of different publication.It also analyzes the value of literary works of different genres in various publications.The third chapter focuses on a wide variety of campus cultural activities in the five universities.It shows the enthusiastic development of speeches,music,posters,drama performances and other activities on Huaxi Ba,distinguishes the subjects of literary activities and affirms their historical achievements,and explores the aesthetic value and social utility of the results of specific activities.The fourth chapter focuses on the academic research and creation of the teachers of the five university.This chapter combs the literary research and educational practice of Qilu Institute of Chinese Studies,which is composed of teachers.Then,this chapter takes Shen Zufen and Ye Shengtao as cases to investigate their teaching activities in five universities.At the same time,it analyzes their literary creations and explores the inner interaction between literati and scholars and Huaxiba.The wartime christian university continued the conservative characteristics of the pre-war period,and the war brought new changes to the five universities.In this relatively conservative,open and inclusive atmosphere,the education,academic,literary and artistic activities of the five universities have shown corresponding characteristics.The various practices of the teachers and students of the five universities have injected a fresh breath into the wartime society.This article examines the cultural activities of the five christian university in a specific era background and cultural atmosphere,and examines the development of cultural activities on the campus,the creation of literature and art publications,the academic research and creation of teachers,and teaching practices of the five universities during the war.And it hopes to reveal the uniqueness of the cultural activities of the five christian universities,supplement the deficiencies in the research of the missionary universities during the Anti-Japanese War,and bring inspiration and supplement to contemporary research.
