Exploration And Practice Of Character Shaping In Musical Of Jukebox

The earliest form of jukebox musical appeared in music films.The music film "Yankee Doodle Dandy" released in 1942 is a very typical biographical music film.After continuous evolution,from the media used to describe a selling jukebox salesman as the main character of a Broadway musical called "Do Re Mi" in 1962,it has developed into the current jukebox musical.The jukebox musical songs can be composed by the same singer,band,composer or producer,or a hodgepodge of classic songs.The emergence of jukebox musical not only provides a new perspective for the audience to appreciate songs,but also creates more space for the development of musicals,making its prospects broader.This paper takes the character shaping of the jukebox small theater musical as the research object,takes the jukebox small theater musical "Crossroads" as the blueprint,combines the relevant theoretical knowledge and its own creative practice,and elaborates and discusses from five aspects.First of all,in the introduction part,the formation and development of the jukebox musical are briefly described,and the problem of paying attention to the form of music expression and ignoring the character shaping in the jukebox musical is analyzed.Next,the plot content of the jukebox small theater musical "Crossroads" is introduced,and the theme of "growth" and "cherishment" and the main characters in the play are Li Yanmeng,Che Xing and the mysterious person are analyzed.The third part is the main content of this article,that is,taking "Crossroads" as an example,to explore the character image shaping of the jukebox small theater musical,through the singing tone retouching and character image,inner feelings and jukebox musical songs details processing,rhythm control and actor’s line emotion mining,role emotion and actor’s line voice change several aspects to explore the sound image shaping,through the integration of the plot and dance to explore the shape of the image.The fourth part is to strengthen the character image again through the production of derivatives in an innovative and non-traditional way,and discuss the practical process of character image shaping of jukebox small theater musical from multiple dimensions.Finally,as the screenwriter,director and actor of "Crossroads",the author sorts out and summarizes the practical process of this play,hoping to provide some new ideas for improving the character image shaping of small theater musical.
