| Zhu Xizu(1879-1944),a famous historian and educator,was born in Haiyan,Zhejiang Province.He studied in the Normal Department of Waseda University in Japan when he was young,and studied under Zhang Taiyan at the same time in Japan.He was known as "Xiwang",one of the "five Kings" of Zhangmen.After returning to China,he successively taught in Zhejiang Normal School,Peking University,Sun Yat-sen University,National Central University and other top universities in China,specializing in history,taking into account literature,archives and archaeology.Based on the scientific theories at home and abroad and his own practical experience,Zhu Xizu formed his unique educational thoughts,including women’s education thoughts,family education thoughts and historical education thoughts,with rich connotation and far-reaching influence.By studying Zhu Xizu’s writings,letters,diaries and other basic historical materials,this paper analyzes the formation and development process of Zhu Xizu’s educational thoughts,which is not only conducive to the construction of Zhu Xizu’s systematic educational system and the exploration of the core and essence of Zhu Xizu’s educational thoughts,but also can understand the development and change of the cultural and educational cause in the Republic of China period,and provide reference for the development and reform of contemporary education.This paper discusses Zhu Xizu’s educational thought through the following three parts:The first part analyzes the background of Zhu Xizu’s educational thought.Zhu Xizu’s educational thought was born out of multiple factors.The drastic changes in domestic and foreign social environments and his own teaching experience contributed to the origin of the educational idea.The second part systematically expounds the content of Zhu Xizu’s educational thoughts,mainly including historical education,women’s education,and family education thoughts.As a renowned historian,Zhu Xizu devotes himself to cultivating historical talents with a clear view of historical education goals,disciplines,teachers,and students;He once participated in the construction of the first girls’ school in Haiyan,advocating equality between men and women,freedom of marriage,and respect for women’s independent status,and put them into practice;He attached great importance to the cultural education and family style construction of the younger generation,and cultivated their children into pillars of service for the country.The third part is the evaluation and analysis of Zhu Xizu’s educational thought.This part mainly explains the characteristics of educational thought and its enlightenment for contemporary education,objectively analyzes the spiritual core of Zhu Xizu’s educational thought,and provides reference for the development and transformation of contemporary school and social education. |
