A Study On The Subjectivity Of "Mei(没)+NP" Structure

The "Mei+NP" construction has a high frequency of use and rich pragmatic connotations in daily communication.Language is not only an objective expression of a certain proposition,but also includes the speaker’s understanding,evaluation,attitude,and emotions,with strong subjectivity.This article intends to define and analyze the construction of "Mei+NP" on the basis of previous studies,further explore its subjective syntactic and semantic features,and finally analyze the mechanism of its subjectivity.This article is divided into six major parts:The first part is an introduction,which mainly discusses the source and research value of the topic,introduces the research object of this article,reviews the current research status on subjectivity and the "Mei+NP" construction,and explains the research methods used in this article and the source of the selected corpus.The second part is the definition and analysis of the "Mei+NP" construction.Firstly,the subjective construction is defined from three perspectives: syntax,semantics,and pragmatics.In terms of syntax,the "Mei+NP" construction can be modified by degree adverbs when expressing subjectivity,and cannot appear in existential sentences;In terms of semantics,Goldberg’s construction theory is used to determine "Mei+NP" as a construction;In terms of pragmatics,being able to express the speaker’s subjective evaluation is a negation of pragmatic level.Any one of the above three criteria is the research object of this article.Secondly,analyze the components of "Mei+NP".The constant "Mei" represents the negation of possession and possession,while the variable NP appears most frequently in disyllabic nouns.The third part is the description of the syntactic expression of subjectivity in the "Mei+NP" construction.Firstly,subjectification can lead to the solidification of constructions,which can be divided into solidification caused by NP metaphor and solidification formed during colloquialization;Secondly,the syntactic position of the "Mei+NP" construction is flexible,with diverse syntactic functions that can serve as syntactic components,as well as as as front and rear clauses of complex sentences,and as a single sentence;Thirdly,modal particles,degree adverbs,and modal adverbs with subjective characteristics interact with constructions in sentences;Fourthly,the interaction between the "Mei+NP" construction and the subject in the sentence is analyzed.When the subject is other than the first person,the subject of the sentence is the speaker’s subject.The fourth part is the analysis of the semantic features of the "Mei+NP" construction.Firstly,semantic classification can be divided into five categories:specific object categories,human related categories,and each category can be further divided into several sub categories;Secondly,the subjectivity of this construction is mainly reflected in the speaker’s subjective small amount of perception and subjective evaluation in terms of semantic function,while also possessing...
