| In the study of contemporary moral theory, the relationship between Marxism and morality is a topic that attracts much attention.Western Marxists have been debating this question for a long time, and now two camps have been formed: Marxist moralism and anti-moralism.Among them,Kai Nielsen’s view on the study of Marxist moral theory is the most representative. He believed that in the study of Marxist moral issues must stand in the Angle of historical materialism, the historical materialism, ideology and moral comprehensive consideration. He believes that it is wrong to study Marxist morality from the perspective of economic determinism, and it is possible to see how society develops from the perspective of historical materialism. Therefore,we should start the study of Marxist morality from the Angle of moral sociology.During this period,he established the position of contextualism as a basic principle through the re-integration of historical materialism and stressed the importance of considering the objective factors of contextualism in moral studies.Nielsen believes that the study of Marxist moral issues must start from the perspective of historical materialism, hoping to solve the problem of moral relativity by associating contextualism with morality and explaining the relativity of moral function. This point of view is very helpful for our follow-up study of Marxist moral issues. However, his research on historical materialism has great limitations. It is impossible to solve the problem of moral relativism only by analyzing the role of context, and it is impossible to unify facts with values. In dividing morality into "ideological" and "ideological",he neglected to distinguish the truth and falseness of ideology itself. Therefore,in our study of Marxist moral concept,we should not only understand Marxism from a one-sided Angle, but should be multi-dimensional,all-round. |
