| In the 19 th century,Romanticism was given full play.In the 20 th century, composers began to pursue the innovation of individuality, which was based on the innovation of tradition, the change in the process of social development, and the catharsis of breaking through themselves and yearning for freedom.Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev completed Piano Sonata No.2 in d Minor in Kislovodsk in1912 and dedicated it to his friend Smittkov from the conservatory. The composer wrote the work while vacationing in the Caucasus Mountains in his youth and premiered it himself. The characteristics inherent in Prokofiev’s earlier compositions are very clear in this sonata, where dramatic expression is combined with the originality of the musical content in the young composer’s composition, where dramatic lines develop in a logical trend continuously, binding the sonata cycle together in dialectical unity, while there are clear boundaries between the parts.Romantic concreteness connects the second sonata to the first-as well as dreaminess, excitement and direct expression. But in the second Sonata,it can no longer be said to imitate anyone(the first sonata was influenced by Rachmaninoff and Scriyana). This paper mainly studies the musical analysis and performance of Piano Sonata No.2 in d Minor, starting from theoretical research and then performance research, and focuses on the performance level, aiming to better interpret the musical emotion and ideological connotation of the work through research,so as to truly understand the work and show the work. |
