Study On The Musical Characteristics And Performance Of Zhang Chao’s Piano Piece Numa Ame

Zhang has been working on Chinese piano music for decades,His creation has a strong Chinese traditional national style.He cleverly integrates Chinese folk music materials into his works and forms his own unique style,which makes positive contribution to the development of Chinese folk music to the world.Numa Ame,a piano solo by Zhang Chao,was created in 2017,which was officially published in 2021 and included in the Collection of Local Winds.Numa Ame is composed by the composer in memory of his hometown.The work incorporates a large number of Yunnan ethnic elements.The fast changing rhythm and rich melody make Numa Ame unique among Chinese piano music works.In this paper,the musical characteristics and performance of Numa Ame are analyzed as the starting point,and the music characteristics and performance of the solo piano work Numa Ami are explored in four chapters.The first chapter deals with Zhang Zhao’s biography and the creation background of Numa Ame.The second chapter analyzes the creation characteristics of Numa Ame through its musical structure and harmony.The third chapter analyzes the integration and filling of Yunnan musical elements in the melody of Numa Ame from the aspects of Yunnan ethnic mode,Yunnan original folk music elements,Yunnan folk dance rhythm and rhythm,and Yunnan ethnic Musical Instruments used in the work.Based on the theoretical analysis of the first three chapters,the fourth chapter analyzes the performance of Numa Ame,discusses how to play the work from the three aspects of key touch,timbre,strength and pedal,and restores the intention of the composer.
