A Study Of Georges Bataille’s "Transgression" Literary Thought

Georges Bataille is one of the most important thinkers and writers in France in the 20 th century.He is a practitioner and writer of pornography and irrationality.He clearly put forward the concept of “transgression”,arguing that “transgression”essentially refers to “the transcendence of taboos” and the negation of “the negation of animality”.He attempts to subvert the identity order constructed by the philosophy of rational subject with a negative force of “transgression”,and break away from the shackles of taboos set by the rational world,so as to achieve the pursuit of“sovereignty”.Here in Bataye,rational,institutionalized and thematic discourse(or behavior)will be abandoned,while a kind of “non” or “anti” rational,internally experienced and ideological “transgression” will gradually emerge and further develop in the vision of the other(“community”).This article takes “A Study of Georges Bataille’s ‘Transgression’ Literary Though”as the title,and systematically studies and combs Bataille’s “transgression”literary thought.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The text part is divided into four chapters.The specific contents are as follows:The first chapter mainly explains the social and cultural background of Bataille’s“transgression” literary thought,and traces the theoretical formation of his“transgression” literary thought,so as to reveal the irrationality and heterogeneity of Bataye’s “transgression” literary thought.On the one hand,the turbulent and chaotic childhood experience in the context of the two world wars has a profound impact on Bataille’s literary creation.On the other hand,Bataille criticized the rational“planning” of Descartes,Kant,Hegel and other thinkers with “non-knowledge”,and opened his own “transgression” writing road in the reflection of Nietzsche,Sade and other thinkers on the rational subject and boundary “experience”.Through the above discussion,it can be made clear that Bataille’s “transgression” is the transcendence of“taboo”.The core of Bataille’s “transgression” literary thought is the pursuit of the“impossibility” of existence,which is manifested in the rejection of identity,the dissolution of subjectivity and the possibility of meeting the “other” outside the self.The second chapter focuses on how to practice and express the literary thought of Bataille’s “transgression”.That is,from the four aspects of writing subject,labyrinth space,pornography writing and open text,respectively.First of all,the“transgression” of the writing subject is mainly reflected in the author’s “absence”and the death of the subject “I”;secondly,the “transgression” of literary space takes the metaphor of architecture as the entry point to illustrate that Bataille tries to use the maze of “decentralization” to dispel the pyramid structure that symbolizes the traditional central order,while the image of “headless man” is the “monster” in the depths of the maze,which implies the loss and dissolution of “self”;thirdly,it explains the essence of “evil” in literature reflected in pornographic writing,and analyzes the form of self and others in pornography through the dissected body organs and “pineal eye”.Finally,the “transgression” of open text is mainly elaborated from the aspects of fragment writing characterized by discontinuity,the text unfinishedness from “consumption” to “communication”,and the text autonomy opening the horizon of “the other”.In addition,in this process,Bataille’s literary works are combined with his theoretical thoughts,so as to further explain the expression of his “transgression”literary thoughts.The third chapter mainly discusses the methodological significance of Bataille’s literary thought of “transgression”,that is,to discuss the “community” of literature in the perspective of the other.It includes three aspects: a preliminary analysis of the concept of “community”;through the social group of “headless people”,this paper discusses the principle of “inadequacy”,the writing of “sacrifice and death” and the essence of “impossibility” of the “community” of Bataille’s literature;through diachronic clues,this paper reflects on the critical comparison and development of Maurice Blanchot and Jean-Luc Nancy on the “community” of Bataille’s literature,so as to open and confirm themselves in the space of “community” and regain the spiritual “sovereignty”.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the inspiration and value of Bataille’s“transgression” literary thought to contemporary literary creation and theoretical construction in the Chinese context,so as to form a new theoretical foresight on the basis of the concepts of “communication”,“Community” and “impossibility” s surging in Bataille’s “transgression” literary thought,and to think about the possibility of existence and the limit of writing which is different from planning and labor,development and progress.
