Research On Archaeological Activities Of Torii Ryuzo In China

Torii Ryuzo was born in Japan in 1870.He was an early researcher of anthropology and archaeology in Japan.He paid attention to field investigations.From 1895 to 1953,he conducted more than ten investigations.Archaeology,ethnology,anthropology and more than ten disciplines.During the investigation,with the help of Japanese colonial forces,he took the Stone Age and Liao Dynasty archeology as the center of his investigation activities in the Japanese invaded areas,and conducted archaeological investigations in Hei,Ji,Liao,Mongolia,Lu,Shanxi,and Jiduo provinces in China.Research,and based on field research results,published 8 monographs and 72 articles related to archaeology.As an early Japanese scholar who came to China for archaeology,his investigation activities broadened the academic vision of the Japanese archaeological circle on the one hand,and preserved precious historical materials for the future research on the Stone Age and Liao Dynasty.On the other hand,in the history of Japanese colonization In the background,the academic research activities and research viewpoints of Torii Ryuzo also have a strong colonial color.This article takes the archaeological activities of Torii Ryuzo in China as the main research content,conducts special research on its archaeological investigation and research results,and tries to comprehensively and meticulously summarize the field investigation route and investigation results of Torii Ryuzo in China.Summarize the data collection methods and research methods in the investigation process of Torii Ryuzo,and discuss the academic value of Torii Ryuzo’s archaeological activities in China and the colonial tendency of academic research.
