From the 1950 s to the 1960 s,it was an important stage of the beginning of Chinese watermark woodcutting.Modern watermark prints are based on traditional woodcut watermarking, learning from foreign watermarking woodcut technology systems, and growing together with the emerging woodcut movement. It is based on traditional lines. Two watermark woodcut art performance styles, engraved and modern chromatic woodcut. The traditional Chinese colors have distinctive national characteristics and profound cultural heritage. They are conceptual colors accumulated by the visual experience of Chinese ancestors over thousands of years.Among them, the "five-color view" occupies a unique position, and the"five-color view" is subtly changing. It affects all aspects of people’s lives. When combing through Chinese traditional colors and painting art,I found a lot of literature about the fivecolor view and other art categories.Among them, there is a shortage of information on watermark prints and the "five-color view".When combing the history of Chinese and foreign prints,I found that the uniqueness and complexity of the production process of watermark prints gave watermark prints a relatively unique taste compared with other types of prints:water taste and printing taste.Modern watermark printmaking is one of the most suitable painting art for inheriting the traditional five-color.There are many artists’ printmaking works that use the traditional five-color,which is inextricably related to the "five-color view".The color of their prints is inextricably linked to the "five-color view"."It also fits well.Through combing and studying the origin of five colors,it is clear that it contains profound cultural connotations. From the perspective of cultural concepts, with the traditional five colors as the main line, deepen the understanding of Chinese traditional color culture.Combining with the characteristics of watermark printmaking itself,it analyzes domestic modern watermark printmaking works with the cultural connotation and aesthetic connotation of the "five-color view",and analyzes the colors in these printmaking works.Try to demonstrate that the creation of watermark prints, like traditional Chinese painting art,can be highly compatible with the "five-color view".Watermark prints can also embody the traditional five-color concept, interpret the cultural connotation of the traditional five-color,and carry the five-color aesthetic connotation.By analyzing the works of modern watermark prints,it summarizes the standards and conditions of how the creation of watermark prints fits with the "five-color view" aesthetics, and analyzes the color characteristics of watermark prints at different time stages.Including the refining and deepening of the themes and objects embodied in the watermark prints, the color of the picture, the way of coloring, and the aesthetic implication of the works, and then raising them as theoretical guidance, consciously using the traditional five colors to guide the creation of watermark prints. This way of studying the creation of watermark prints from the perspective of color concepts is not only to advocate the realization of the nationalization of prints, and to inject cultural soft power into the creation of watermark prints, but also an important way for Chinese traditional color culture to show infinite charm and contemporary style.
