A Report On The E-C Translation Of “Digital Transformation Of Airline Industry”

Digital transformation in the airport operation represents the implementation of new technological solutions,which leads to a reduction in operating costs and the maximization of the process efficiency.This paper chooses “Digital Transformation of Aviation Industry” as the object of the translation practice.From the point of view of user experience,the source text analyzes the impact of digital transformation on passengers from pre-boarding to arrival with supporting data while using both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.Under the guidance of communicative translation theory,this paper analyzes and summarizes the translation process of the original text,and discusses “how to apply communicative translation theory in the Chinese translation of aerial texts to make the translation more communicative”.Communicative translation theory attaches importance to the target language readers.They do not want to encounter obstacles in the process of understanding the target language,but look forward to the equivalent transformation of foreign languages and cultures into their own mother tongue cultures.The research shows that communicative translation theory plays an important role in improving the quality of aviation translation.During the translation process,the description of the translation task was made,including the background and significance of the translation,as well as the introduction to the source text.The whole process of translation,including the preparation before translation,the problems encountered in translation and solutions,as well as the proofreading after translation,are fully demonstrated.This paper makes a detailed analysis of the translation strategies of the text from the lexical,syntactic and textual levels.At the lexical level,two translation techniques,amplification and conversion,are used to consolidate and improve vocabulary translation.At the level of syntax,voice changes,word order adjustment and redundancy removal are some ways to make the sentence more logical.At the textual level,this paper discusses how to deal with language problems such as improper cohesion by means of the contextualization as well as the flexibility of logical words and conjunctions.This report aslo briefly summarizes the research conclusions in the process of translation,shortcoming reviewing of the translation,and puts forward some suggestions for future translation practice.It is hoped that this practice report can provide reference for the future translation of aviation texts and the study of communicative translation theory.
