The Military and Political Magazine of the Eighth Route Army is a comprehensive publication which was founded by the General Political Department of the Eighth Route Army in Yan ’an during the Anti-Japanese War to reflect the political and military construction of the Eighth Route Army.The journal was first published on January 15,1939,and the final issue was published in April 1942,with a total of 4 volumes and 39 issues.The Military and Political Magazine of the Eighth Route Army played an important role in promoting the Anti-Japanese War of the Eighth Route Army and strengthening its political and military construction.In the Journal of the Eighth Route Army’s Military and Political Affairs,there are abundant documents on the military studies of the Eighth Route Army during the Anti-Japanese War.On the basis of these literatures,this thesis discusses the military research of the Eighth Route Army during the Anti-Japanese War,which has not been fully studied by the academic circles in the past,in order to further understand the reasons why the Communist Party of China led the resistance behind enemy lines,became the mainstay of the resistance,and made important contributions to the victory of China’s Resistance against Japanese aggression and even the victory of the world anti-Fascism.And enrich the research of the people’s army under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.The text of this thesis is divided into five parts: the first part is an overview of the military and political Journal of the Eighth Route Army.This thesis mainly discusses the founding background,editing features and reasons for the closure of the Eighth Route Army Military and Political Magazine.The second part is the systematic sorting and analysis of the study of Marxist military thought,foreign military theory,military technology and war history in the Eighth Route Army Military and Political Magazine.The specific content revolves around the introduction and research of Engels,Lenin and Stalin’s military thought,the introduction and research of modern military technology and theory,as well as the study of foreign classic campaigns and battles.Through the study,the author explains the effect of studying the Marxist classical writers’ military thoughts and foreign advanced military theories on improving the military quality and combat effectiveness of the Eighth Route Army.The third part mainly analyzes the study of the Eighth Route Army’s Military and Political Journal on ancient Chinese military history,modern history of anti-aggression wars and the military thoughts of famous ancient Chinese military strategists Sun Tzu and Zhuge Liang,and discusses the significance of these studies on improving the combat effectiveness of the Eighth Route Army and propagating the anti-Japanese national united Front.The fourth part mainly analyzes the summary of the experience of the Eighth Route Army’s important battles in the Military and Political Journal of the Eighth Route Army and the research on how to carry out guerrilla warfare in the plain area.The specific content is to sort out and analyze the summary of Chenzhuang Battle,Hundred Regiment Battle and other important battles in the Eighth Route Army Military and Political Journal,sort out and analyze the Eighth Route Army’s research on guerrilla warfare on the plain,and analyze the significance of these studies for implementing the central Government’s strategic policy of guerrilla warfare on the plain.The fifth part mainly combs and analyzes the study of the Japanese army and its tactics by the Military and Political Journal of the Eighth Route Army.The specific content is to sort out the study on the nature,history,organization,equipment,personnel education and logistics supply of the Japanese army by the Military and Political Journal of the Eighth Route Army,as well as the understanding of Japanese tactics.
