The Application Of Formal Language In Ink Painting In Children’s Book Illustration

The application of ink painting form language in children’s book illustration can make children feel the charm and spiritual connotation of ink painting art and can also promote the development of ink painting formal language in children’s book illustrations.With the integration of economic and cultural exchanges of countries around the world,some ink children’s book illustration works from the East have appeared at the most influential international illustration exhibition in Bologna,Italy.These works have not only characteristics of ink painting form language,but also the frontier of children’s book illustration creation and the development of illustration creation for future children can play a guiding and leading role.It can also be found that some children’s book illustration works use part of the ink painting form language and it blends the form of ink painting with the times to create new illustrations with a sense of ink form,which is a blend of children ’s book illustration creation methods in various countries.Taking the illustration works in Bologna illustration exhibition in recent years as an example,this paper studies the application of ink painting formal language in children’s book illustration from the aspects of line,composition,color,theme,material texture and technique.Besides,it gives a brief introduction to the formal language of ink painting and focuses on analyzing the application of ink painting form language in ink illustration works such as Grandfather’s Garden,Cat in A Box,Small Pond and Game Inventor.Secondly,this study analyzes the works that integrate the language characteristics of ink painting in the Bologna Illustration Exhibition from the aspects of the white space on the composition,the flexibility of the lines,the use of ink materials and texture,the dry and wet shades of ink techniques,and the artistic conception of ink painting.In addition,it also combines with Who Ate My Chestnut and other children’s picture books with characteristics of ink painting form language to conduct research and analysis.With reference to the author’s practice of ink and wash illustration and the Bolgona Illustration Exhibition,this paper discusses the inspiration that the exhibition’s works have brought to the author’s ink and wash illustration creation,as well as the application of ink and wash form language in the author’s own works.The paper analyzes the application of ink painting formal language in international and domestic children’s book illustrations,aiming to provide more footholds for the development of ink painting formal language itself,enrich the painting style of children’s book illustrations,increase the cultural connotation of children’s book illustrations,thus promoting the development of children’s book illustrations.
