There are 34 manuscripts of Wang Fanzhi’s poems unearthed in the Dunhuang Sutra Cave,which are divided into four systems: one volume version,three volume version,Faren version and scattered content.There are about 390 poems in total.Wang Fanzhi’s poetry is the representative of Dunhuang poetry,as well as the representative of folk vernacular poetry different from traditional Chinese literati poetry.However,it has been buried in dust for thousands of years,so it is gradually forgotten by people.As a result,the first thing people think of in every language and literature today is Chu Sao,Han Fu,Tang Poetry and Song Ci.As time goes by,these "elegant literature" that has spread to this day seems to be the whole of literature.Little did we know that in the field of poetry,where literati and scholars controlled the absolute discourse power,there was another school popular among the people at the bottom.These folk poems,books and sayings are really "poems of the common people".They are spread among the people,and they are added and modified in the process of spreading,until they are copied on paper.Therefore,the different features of the "thousand faced husband" that we see today have emerged.This paper intends to investigate Wang Fanzhi’s poetry from the perspective of oral poetics,find out the reasons for the formation of its oral characteristics,and try to restore its application state,in order to better show the original style of Wang Fanzhi’s poetry.The introduction part explains the origin of the topic,and simply combs and reviews the current research status of Wang Fanzhi poetry in the academic circle.Through sorting out and analyzing,we can see that there is still a large space to explore Wang Fanzhi’s poems from the perspective of oral poetics.The first chapter of the thesis further explains the basic problems of Wang Fanzhi and his poems.First of all,this paper makes a new discussion on the origin of Wang Fanzhi,and the conclusion is that "Wang Fanzhi is a person formed by accumulation";Secondly,it explains the "oral" and "desk" characteristics of Wang Fanzhi’s poems and the reasons for their formation;Finally,from the perspective of copywriting,this paper simply combs the situation of Wang Fanzhi’s co copying with other documents.The second chapter explains the oral characteristics of Wang Fanzhi’s poems from the perspectives of the oral tradition of Chinese literature and the oral tradition of Buddhist literature.It points out that Wang Fanzhi’s poetry is the product of the interaction of traditional poetry,folk rap literature and Buddhist literature,which lays a foundation for further analysis of Wang Fanzhi’s poetry from the perspective of oral poetics.In the third chapter,through the quantitative analysis,we get the conclusive evidence that there are a lot of stylized expressions in Wang Fanzhi’s poems,which is the most obvious "oral feature".There are two kinds of the most obvious forms in Wang Fanzhi’s poems: language form and narrative form.At the same time,"program" is restricted by "fixed theme".The fourth chapter,from the perspective of ritual literature,attempts to explore the true application of Wang Fanzhi’s poetry: it is not in the form of desk reading as the only purpose of existence,but rather it is used as an enlightenment reading,a preaching chant,and the "embellishment" of ritual. |
