The opera "Regret for the Past" is one of the important achievements in the creation of Chinese national opera in the 1980 s.It was created with Lu Xun’s novel "Regret for the Past" of the same name as the story script, written by Wang Quan and Han Wei,and composed by Shi Guangnan.Among them, the aria "The Wind Bleak" is one of the excerpts of the opera "Autumn",which is the vocal music work that the author thought most and paid the longest time during the preparation of his concert.Through continuous theoretical exploration and singing practice, the author has updated his understanding and thinking of "The Wind Bleak",and has combed and summarized what she has learned. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the creative background, narrative structure and characterization of the novel "Regret for the Past" and the opera "Regret for the Past".The artistic features of the aria "The Wind Bleak" and the characters of Zijun are deeply explored. It is found that the national characteristics of the opera "Regret for the Past" make the character of Zijun in "The Wind Bleak" more distinctive, and the need to use language to express the character is also stronger, which further highlights the importance of language expression in the singing of Chinese opera works. With this as the starting point, this paper analyzes the use of breath in "The Wind Bleak",sums up and sorts out the singing words of the work from the perspective of "five tones","four calls" and "thirteen rhythms" in the traditional phonology of China, which finds the central point of the lyrics, classifies the names and rhymes of the words, and lays a solid foundation for the correct use of language organs(to standardize the articulation of words,to master the skills of ending the rhyme)to perform the words in a round way.Further combine the research results with the stage practice,so that the author can better interpret the works in a specific stage, and achieve the integration of "emotion","voice" and "performance" and the unity of theory and practice.
