| From the perspective of Jiao Juyin’s dramatic ideas, this paper attempts to explore Jiao Juyin’s changes in dramatic ideas influenced by social environment, literary activities, aesthetic ability and other internal and external factors in different periods, and analyzes his choice of dramatic translation based on the changes of his dramatic ideas.Jiao’s plays were translated from 1923 to 1953.In the 30 years of drama translation,Jiao Juyin’s concept of drama takes realism style as the core, combines life experience, literary aesthetics and the environment of The Times, and constantly adjusts the choice of drama translation text, integrates the invariance and variation of ideas, and further shows the result of multiple influences of writers on artistic choice. The formation of a writer’s literary thought is never done overnight. Before his literary view takes shape, how to choose literary activities may not be clear even to the writer himself. Therefore, the study of the writer’s literary thought must go deep into his life.Literature and life, most of the time can not be separated.A writer’s attitude towards people and things always permeates his works to some extent.Based on this point of view, this paper will study and describe Jiao Juyin’s literary activities roughly in his school period, the Anti-Japanese War period and the liberation period. The first period of his study, from 1923 to 1937,was the beginning of Jiao Juyin’s literature. Both the poems and editorials published in this period showed a childish style, and the drama choices were literary and comic. In this period,Jiao Juyin has already begun to show his initial interest in realism, which is manifested by his persistence in the realistic comedy style and the expression of human characteristics. The second phase of the war began in 1938 and ended in 1945.In the special national salvation environment, the choice of drama inevitably slips into political and utilitarian.Meanwhile, during this period,Jiao Juyin came into contact with the Russian dramatist Niminovitch Dantchenko and was inspired by him.He began to gradually close to realism from realism, and his view of realism also entered the core development stage, which determined the direction of drama selection in the future. In the choice of drama,Jiao Juyin takes realism as the tone of his choice of drama, and further emphasizes realism drama style with translation and poetic expression. The third phase of liberation lasted from 1946 to 1953.During this period,Jiao Juyin moved from the Kuomintang-controlled area to the liberated area.Due to the call of the political line, more writers joined the translation camp of Soviet Russian realism, which further squeezed Jiao Juyin’s drama translation space.Jiao Juyin, who took the lead in translating Soviet Russian realistic dramas, did not seize the opportunity at this stage.Instead, due to the contradiction between the academic circle and his own literary choice,he was briefly confused. In the choice of drama,Jiao Juyin continued to walk in the Soviet Russian drama translation, half pushing and half voluntarily. After 1953,Jiao Juyin’s drama translation ceased to be published to the public, and he shifted his focus to drama director, applying the drama experience absorbed in drama translation to the work of drama director, and completing the construction of realism style. |
