Marx established the noble ideal of liberating all humanity during his middle school years, and made the realization of happiness and liberation for the majority of people his lifelong belief.Starting from the unfortunate dehumanization of social reality,Marx’s concept of happiness criticizes and transforms the alienation of labor and private ownership in capitalist society, advocating for overcoming the practical difficulties of survival through struggle, and ultimately achieving the free liberation of all humanity.Marx’s concept of happiness not only scientifically interprets the theoretical connotation of happiness, but also proposes the true path to achieving human happiness. The formation of Marx’s concept of happiness has its specific social history conditions.Marx pointed out that in capitalist society, workers have long been exploited and oppressed by capitalists, and happiness is only owned by a few capitalists, while workers have no chance of achieving happiness. The happiness of this period was the alienated happiness advocated by capitalist society.Capitalists claimed that everyone had equal opportunities to achieve happiness, which was essentially just a verbal propaganda to numb the minds of workers.Workers not only did not get happiness, but became poorer and poorer due to the exploitation of surplus value.Under such social history conditions,Marx’s concept of happiness came into being with the mission of achieving universal happiness for all mankind.Marx’s concept of happiness has a profound theoretical source, which is formed based on the rational core of Kant’s concept of supreme happiness,Hegel’s dialectical concept of happiness, and Feuerbach’s perceptual concept of happiness.Marx enriched and developed his own view of happiness on the basis of sublating the previous view of happiness, and transcendence proposed the transformation of the subject of happiness from "abstract people" to "real people",the transformation of the way of happiness from "speculative activities" to "practical activities",and the transformation of the field of happiness from "the other side of the world" to "the real world".The revolutionary, realistic, and practical nature exhibited by Marx’s concept of happiness is the most distinctive feature that distinguishes it from the previous concept of happiness.Marx’s concept of happiness has rich content and distinct levels. At the individual level,Marx’s concept of happiness emphasizes that the real person is the subject of achieving happiness, labor practice is the way to achieve happiness, and freedom and liberation are the forms of achieving happiness. At the family level,Marx’s concept of happiness advocates that the establishment and maintenance of family relationships should be based on love, equality as the principle, and family relationships as bridges, all of which have laid a solid theoretical foundation for building a harmonious family. At the social level,Marx’s concept of happiness advocates the elimination of social alienation, the realization of human political freedom, the establishment of a reasonable social system, and points out that the ultimate goal of happiness is to establish a "free man consortium".At the national level,Marx’s concept of happiness advocates the establishment of a public ownership system,a reasonable distribution system, and legitimate democratic policies. After sorting out the content of Marx’s concept of happiness at different levels,it is concluded that its basic characteristics are the dialectical unity of objective and subjective, material and spiritual, emotional and rational, individual and society, and creation and enjoyment.Only by grasping Marx’s view of happiness on the whole, can we better realize the equality and harmony between individuals, families, society and the country, and then realize the collective happiness of all mankind. In short,Marx’s concept of happiness is the crystallization of social reality and scientific theory in the context of the times, and is the value guide for human pursuit of happiness. In the context of the new era,the people’s desire for a better life is becoming stronger, and their pursuit of happiness will not stop. The scientific connotation of Marx’s concept of happiness has been constantly evolving, providing rich theoretical basis and practical guidance for the happiness of the Chinese people, family stability, social harmony, national prosperity, and the realization of the Chinese Dream, with profound historical value.
