Hejiang,a county in Sichuan Province,is located upstream of the Yangtze River,at the intersection of Sichuan,Guizhou and Chongqing Province.The exchange and confluence of different regional cultures here have created a prosperous cultural landscape and left behind a rich array of cultural relics for future generations.Han Hua-xiang-shi,the Han Dynasty stone reliefs,is among the most representative artistic remnants of China’s Han Dynasty,with their diverse themes and complete forms.By carving words and images into stones,it depicts vivid scenes of life in the Han Dynasty.Han Hua-xiang-shi focusing on Yue-Wu(music and dance)themes epitomizes the aesthetic pursuits and spiritual beliefs of the Han people.Hejiang Han Hua-xiang-shi,as a part of the overall collection of Han stone reliefs,has strong regional characteristics.Furthermore,the Yue-Wu imagery of the Hejiang Han Hua-xiang-shi also presents an excellent topic for cross-disciplinary research.This research focuses on the study of art,borrowing theories and research methods from art history,musicology,and iconology,to provide a deeper analysis and interpretation of the Yue-Wu imagery in Hejiang Han Hua-xiang-shi.Through field investigations of Yue-Wu images in Hejiang Han Hua-xiang-shi and comprehensive collection and organization of the unearthed Yue-Wu images in Hejiang County,I have obtained relatively reliable firsthand information.The aim is to reveal the unique artistic characteristics of the Yue-Wu imagery in the Hejiang Han Hua-xiang-shi,providing a reference for the study of Han Dynasty Yue-Wu art.This paper is divided into four main chapters.The first chapter traces the historical origins of the Yue-Wu imagery in Hejiang Han Hua-xiang-shi.This section primarily analyzes the external and internal factors,distribution areas,and regional characteristics of the dance images.The second chapter is an analysis of the artistic patterns of the Yue-Wu imagery in Hejiang Han Hua-xiang-shi.This section is mainly interpreted from the three aspects of musical instruments,dance types and Bai-Xi(a kind of folk performing arts)of Yue-Wu images.Through the elaboration of specific artistic forms,people can more intuitively understand the life scenes and the development of Yue-Wu of the Hejiang Han people in southern Sichuan.The third chapter discusses the artistic characteristics of the Yue-Wu imagery in Hejiang Han Hua-xiang-shi.This part analyzes each aspect of the carving techniques,aesthetic implications,and artistic style.The fourth chapter focuses on the cultural traits of the Yue-Wu imagery in Hejiang Han Hua-xiang-shi.This chapter primarily discusses the ethical models of traditional Chinese culture,humanistic interpretations of Yue-Wu images,and the artistic value demonstrated by the Yue-Wu images,providing a cultural interpretation of the Yue-Wu images. |
