The Taiwanese opera in south of Fujian(a local opera popular in Taiwan and Fujian named Xiang Opera)is a significant part of intangible cultural heritage in China.It is the only local opera created by cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan,it is also an artistic bridge connecting the cultures on both sides of cross-strait.It has distinctive regional characteristics and artistic features and cultural intension.The operatic language of the Taiwanese opera in south of Fujian(a local opera popular in Taiwan and Fujian named Xiang Opera)is elegant and at the same time,it takes vulgar as beautiful,the language is easy to understand like words,and it is rich in culture elements of southern Fujian,and it emphasizes the rhythm,homonym and overlapping sounds,which shows unique linguistic and grass-root features.The most distinctive feature of the Taiwanese opera in south of Fujian(Xiang Opera)is its music.Because of its traditional vocal tune,the features of the inclusive style can be showed by the main tune of [Seven Characters],[Miscellaneous Tune],[Cry Tune] and local flavor can be highlighted by unique accompaniment instruments such as broad-wide strings,shell strings,etc.There are not only singing and speaking,but also acting and acrobatic fighting in opera.The performance of the Taiwanese opera in south of Fujian(Xiang Opera)including dressing of role,body shape,song and dance performance,is gradually developed by the integration of hundreds of advantages of other operas.At the same time,there is a close connection between the performance of the Taiwanese opera in south of Fujian(Xiang Opera)and the vocal music,and the body postures changes with the change of the music structure.The formation of the Taiwanese opera in south of Fujian(Xiang Opera)has its own unique humanistic background.It is produced and developed under certain conditions.Its artistic characteristics reflect the profound cultural connotation of southern Fujian and show regional cultural features and marine cultural spirits.This paper draws on the multi-disciplinary research methods of literature,ethnomusicology and folk dance,and explores the artistic characteristics of the Taiwaneseopera in south of Fujian(Xiang Opera)and excavate the cultural connotation of southern Fujian. |
