The Qiang people are one of the ethnic minorities with a small population in China.They mainly live in the zone of high mountains and longitudinal valleys in the northwest of Sichuan Province.Here,there are a lot of peaks,cliffs,and gullies.It is just between the cultural circles of the Hans and Tibetans.Due to these factors,the culture of the Qiang ethnic group has some special significance,and artistic aesthetic concepts are just an important part.In the art of the Qiang ethnic group,several kinds of folk songs are collectively known as custom songs,including wedding songs,funeral songs,ritual songs,festival songs,and ceremonial drinking songs.As a type of art with the nature of oral literature and folk music,it has a lot of common features of art activities of people of the Qiang ethnic group and is one of the art forms that can show the artistic aesthetic concepts of the Qiangs.First,on the basis of the formation of artistic aesthetic concepts,the “worship of the god of mountains” and “mountainous region thinking” in custom songs shows the impact of natural environment factors on the artistic aesthetic concepts of the Qiang ethnic group.Different effects of humanistic environment factors in different periods on the artistic aesthetic concepts of the Qiang ethnic group are shown from the“junction” of Han and Tibetan culture in the traditional custom songs to the definite cultural identity in the contemporary new custom songs.Second,in terms of the connotation of artistic aesthetic concepts,the desire to “worship life” expressed in the wedding songs and the attitude of “having a happy life” conveyed in the funeral songs show the life awareness of “life more important than death” of the Qiang ethnic group.In the ritual songs,the contents of “sympathy between god and human” and“co-entertainment between human and god” show the primitive religious awareness of the Qiang ethnic group with the “human-oriented” color.The “variation” of traditional custom songs in the contemporary era is the outcome of the Qiang ethnic group is structure of the “ethnic identity” and “national identity”.Finally,in terms of the display form of artistic aesthetic concepts,the lyrics and singing styles with a rough form in custom show a robust beauty of “returning to the sense of life”.The subject feelings set off by the strange form and structure of the traditional “s Pi”chanting show a mysterious beauty of “confirmation of the sense of existence”.The lyrics of contemporary new custom songs sung in “multiple languages” and the singing of collective custom songs “cooperated by multiple ethnic groups” show the beauty of affinity of “having a sense of belonging” in a harmonious form.The above three aspects constitute the exploration system of artistic aesthetic concepts of the Qiang ethnic group.They also convey a basic fact.That is,art culture is the product of continuous construction and its essence lies in adapting to social life and social relations.Therefore,exploration of the artistic aesthetic concepts of the Qiang ethnic group by analyzing the custom songs of the Qiang ethnic group is not only an explanation of the dynamic change process experienced by the culture of the Qiang ethnic group but also a reflection on the value of the culture of the Qiang people in the construct of contemporary Chinese ethnic relations.
