| Science fiction film is an art form that imaginatively rehearses the unknown space and time on the basis of existing science and technology.It not only expresses the exploration of the ultimate problem of the universe,but also echoes the reflection of social history.However,even curiosity about science has a threshold to enter,but science fiction movies are more likely to be favored at the reception level due to their intuitive perception of the movie itself and the depth and simplicity of fantasy content.In recent years,the development of science and technology in China has made significant progress,and the construction of the film industrialization system has gradually become complete.The development of science fiction films in China has ushered in a new opportunity.Although the technical characteristics and narrative logic in Chinese science fiction films are not clear,and there is no "plateau" development state under the "peak" of "The Wandering Earth"(2019),they have achieved remarkable results in optimizing top-level design,summoning the social science popularization craze,and cultivating an imaginative atmosphere.Therefore,calling for the localization of Chinese science fiction films has become a practical topic that current film creators urgently need to explore.In the context of globalization,the localization of Chinese science fiction films is not only a survival strategy for creation,but also a manifestation of national cultural subjectivity in the identity of the film.On the basis of telling the "Chinese story" well,innovating the thinking mode of film technology and constructing a local discourse system in film creation are the key to exploring the breakthrough strategy of Chinese science fiction films.In the perspective of technological aesthetics,technology and art are interconnected,and in terms of human imagination and creativity,the two are closely related and inseparable.The progress of science and technology not only enriches and expands imagination,but also prompts people to re explore the essence of life.The story content produced by any film technology can be linked to cultural representation.Therefore,in science fiction movies,technology is not simply used as an auxiliary tool,but directly used for narrative construction.Its role is to showcase the integration of cultural tradition and advanced technology in the creation of Chinese films,The cultural identity recognition and collective self reflection triggered by it are also the existence value and aesthetic pursuit of localization of Chinese science fiction films from the perspective of technological aesthetics.At present,Chinese science fiction films mainly reflect two creative directions:one is to imitate the creative methods of Hollywood science fiction films,such as the characterization of superheroes,the visual impact of mechanical armor,and the typified production mode;Secondly,Chinese elements with a strong visual style are added to the film,while reflecting the understanding and application of technology in Eastern culture in the narrative.As in "The Wandering Earth"(2019),the direct emotional driving force is patriotism,adopting the aesthetic texture of Soviet heavy industry style,and telling a story of taking the Earth together to find a new home.The former has a Hollywood model that can be used for reference,and is reflected in its strong realistic attributes in creation.It involves relatively conservative science fiction creation,but blindly emphasizes the style of blockbusters and the shock of sound and painting,resulting in a lack of innovative spirit,which can easily cause aesthetic fatigue and even boredom for the audience.For example,"Shanghai Fortress"(2019)has a huge traffic star and dazzling special effects technology,but the result is a complete failure;The latter,represented by ’Wandering Earth’,is a beneficial attempt to localize Chinese science fiction films.With the timely release of the second installment of "The Wandering Earth"(2023),it proves that Chinese science fiction has begun to have some conscious awareness of localized exploration.But science fiction,as a genre of film,is far from reaching a mature stage in China.Looking at Chinese science fiction films from the perspective of technological aesthetics,one can discover that the development of the Chinese film industry is not yet perfect and has not truly served as a cornerstone to support the growth of science fiction films;On the other hand,the creative attempts of film creators represented by Guo Fan in practice have provided the correct direction for the development of Chinese science fiction films towards typification and the prosperity of science fiction literature and art.This article consists of four main chapters,including an introduction,conclusion,appendix,and other supplementary explanations.Based on theoretical foundations such as technical aesthetics,communication studies,and film aesthetics,it attempts to analyze the exploration and application of technology in Chinese science fiction films from their inception to the present,and combine them with certain film texts to focus on the logic of work creation.The introduction section analyzes the necessary connection between the development of Chinese science fiction films and technological aesthetics based on the current development environment of science fiction films and the theoretical construction of the film school,and explores the feasibility of the two from an academic perspective;The first chapter is a review of the development of Chinese science fiction films and an analysis and definition of the research scope related to technical aesthetics;The second chapter analyzes the creation path of Chinese science fiction films under the soft science fiction creation and film industry production from the perspective of technology;Chapter 3 analyzes the technical aesthetic characteristics and composition of Chinese science fiction films;Chapter 4 looks forward to the future localization of Chinese science fiction films through the incubation of technology strategies and honor mechanisms.Through the analysis in the previous chapters,it is believed that the sustainable development of Chinese science fiction films in the future depends on the choice of technological concepts,the stance of ideological and cultural values,and the ecological development of the overall science fiction creation in society. |
