Abstract/Summary:
Under the background of digital transformation of education,the impact of language big data,intelligent speech recognition,Text-to-Speech and knowledge tracking on language education is gradually deepening,and the traditional teaching method based on knowledge lecture is difficult to meet the communicative language learning needs of students in the new era.High school oral English education should not only guide students to master language knowledge,but also cultivate students’interest in learning,encourage students to speak English,and improve students’comprehensive pragmatic ability and social communication ability.Therefore,it is imperative to integrate the use of modern educational technology platforms,innovate teaching design methods,and carry out communicative oral teaching activities.Based on this,this study creates a role-based oral teaching activity program in the mobile application environment,which is of positive significance for improving students’English speaking ability,cultivating students’ interest in English learning and collaborative learning ability.This study summarizes the research of domestic and foreign scholars on oral English teaching and role-play-based oral English teaching in the mobile application environment,analyzes the role of mobile application assisted language learning(MALL)on subject teaching and the results of role-playing strategies in the practice of oral English teaching,and combines the role-playing collaborative learning support provided by the "English Fun Dubbing" platform.On the basis of clarifying the new requirements for teaching reform put forward by the high school English curriculum standards,taking the multi-modal oral teaching resources provided by the "English Fun Dubbing" application as the carrier,and with the help of the teaching support of"English Fun Dubbing" for online collaborative learning and role-play activity scenario creation,the role-playing oral collaborative teaching activity plan based on mobile applications is designed,and the online and offline integrated English oral teaching practice is carried out.Diversified learning assessment tools such as collaborative learning contracts carry out accompanying process learning evaluation on students’ learning to cultivate students’ interest in English learning and promote the improvement of students’ oral and collaborative learning skills.This study carried out role-playing English oral teaching design based on the"English Fun Dubbing" application,and selected two classes of the first grade of a high school in Province F as the teaching object,and took "High School English Compulsory 1" as the teaching content.The experimental class adopts the role-playing oral collaborative teaching method based on the "English Fun Dubbing"platform,and the control class adopts the traditional English oral teaching method to carry out a four-month teaching experiment.The relevant learning data of the two classes were collected and quantified with the help of the statistical tool SPSS 23.0,and in the pre-experimental test,the English learning interest,English speaking ability and collaborative learning ability of the two classes were basically the same.The average oral English score of the students in the experimental class was 86.5,which was higher than the average oral score of the control class of 84.96,which was limited by the short time of teaching experiments,and the oral performance of the students did not show a significant difference(p=0.221),but in terms of English learning interest,the oral learning interest of the experimental class students was significantly higher than that of the control class(p=0.027),and the collaborative learning ability of the experimental class was also significantly higher than that of the control class(p=0.032).At the same time,teachers and students were interviewed,relevant data were collected to carry out qualitative research,and the analysis results of comprehensive quantitative research and qualitative research showed that language learning based on mobile application has a certain positive impact on the improvement of middle school students’ English speaking ability,and has a significant role in stimulating students’ interest in English learning and cultivating collaborative learning ability.
