Abstract/Summary:
As a new teaching model,"unit integrative teaching" has become a hot topic of English teaching in recent years.The unit integrative teaching design is implemented to optimize teaching design,improve teachers’ professional quality,improve teaching quality and implement key competencies.With the requirements of English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022),the transformation of key competencies and English teaching status,this paper interpreted the background and significance of the unit integrative teaching design of primary school English.Based on the whole language teaching theory,Gestalt psychology and constructivism cognitive theory,the author conducted a research on the unit integrative teaching design of primary school English.In the process,the author investigated the current situation of unit integrative teaching design of primary school English teachers in Lanzhou,and sorted out the problems of implementing unit integrative teaching design.Based on the analysis and according to the "English curriculum Standard principle" and "integrity principle",the author explored and put forward five basic steps of unit integrative teaching design:analyzing the teaching material and learning situation,setting the teaching objective,integrating the content,creating activities,implementing the overall evaluation.And then the author carried out teaching practice through a specific teaching case to make further analysis and interpretation.Finally,the paper put forward five suggestions from the theoretical and practical levels: analyzing teaching material and learning situation based on educating people,formulating teaching objectives with key competencies,studying the text deeply to integrate the teaching content,creating teaching activity for students performance and implementing overall evaluation with multiple subjects.As an exploration of teaching mode,unit integrative teaching design is expected to provide some reference for the optimization of English classroom teaching.
