| Lowell Liebermann(1961-)is a famous contemporary American composer and pianist.His works include nearly 200 solo and collaborative works for flute,piano,harp,clarinet,etc.His works have been recognized by a number of world-class authoritative composition awards,including Van Kleben Composition Award,Yamaha Composition Award,Grammy Award nomination.In the early 20 th century,Lieberman’s work showed a stylistic shift from avant-garde "noise" to retro "audible".Lieberman’s works during this period had an eclectic bent and typical neo-romantic style,pursuing melodic lyricism while using20th-century musical techniques.Nocturne No.8 Op.85 was created at an important time of Lieberman’s stylistic shift.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter discusses the reasons for the topic selection,research significance and research status at home and abroad.The second chapter briefly describes the creation background of Nocturne No.8,introduces the evolution of music,nocturne genre,composers and the style of their works in the 20 th century.Chapter three and chapter four are the key parts of this paper.The third chapter analyzes the creation characteristics of Nocturne No.8 from the aspects of musical form,tonality and harmony,rhythm and texture,rhythm and rhythm.Chapter four analyzes the overall influence of New Romanticism on performance on the basis of Chapter three,and analyzes the performance interpretation of the works from two aspects of macro design and micro control.Through the in-depth analysis of Op.85 of Nocturne No.8,this paper finds out the stylistic turn of Lieberman’s works,which enhances the cognition of the new Romantic style in this 21 st century works integrating traditional and modern creation techniques.Learn about Lieberman’s unconventional use of tonality and harmony to develop melody;Based on the analysis of the structure and musical elements of the work,the author explores a reasonable deductive way,which will provide references for the researchers and players of Lieberman’s nocturnes in the future. |
