| The word "Montage" originates from French and is a transliterated loanword.It was originally used as an architectural academic term,meaning "scaffolding",and later gradually developed the meanings of "assembly" and "composition".Montage is useful in various art genres,and painting is no exception.As a two-dimensional and static art,painting is difficult to achieve a moving and shocking montage effect like film editing.However,the concepts of montage "assembly" and "composition" still inject vitality and new possibilities into painting art.Max Ernst,a 20 th century German artist,is one of the representatives of the application of montage in the field of painting.His works not only present the characteristics of montage in form,but also express his thinking and challenges to the real world in content,leaving a profound impact on future generations.This article mainly takes Max Ernst as an example to conduct a case study,starting from his artistic experience,to explore the impact of Montage thinking on his creative techniques;Focusing on specific works,this paper analyzes,summarizes,and summarizes three specific application methods and effects of montage in its creative practice,including image decomposition and assembly,spatial interleaving,and temporal interleaving.By studying Marx Ernst’s works,we can learn from them,further improve our creative skills,explore the specific application of montage in painting,and add relevant research results on Marx Ernst and montage at home and abroad. |
