| In the era of mobile communication,vertical screen content has become the mainstream of the industry because it is more in line with the physiological habits of users.The large number of user base also makes the vertical screen show great vitality and commercial value,but the vertical screen format,which is contrary to the traditional horizontal format of the film industry,has been considered a "mistake".Even industry experts who are optimistic about the development of vertical screen video generally agree that vertical screens have inherent limitations in terms of composition.The current academic research on vertical screen video is also more inclined to short video research on vertical screen format,so it is believed that vertical screen is more suitable for short,flat and fast content,and the single composition with central focus has become the most secure choice.The author believes that the current research on vertical screen content is inaccurate and incomplete,and that vertical screens can be used as a form of expression for traditional film and television content.Therefore,how to make better use of vertical composition to present traditional film and television content is the main research problem of this topic.By combing through the history,we can learn that the vertical image is not a product of the new media era.Based on this,this project takes the vertical composition as the main research object,stands in the perspective of the historical development of film,based on the traditional camera and photography composition theory,uses the case study and comparative analysis method,explores the impact of the change of aspect ratio on the composition,and summarizes the picture composition theory of vertical screen images.The subject is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction.It introduces the current development status of vertical screen images,and summarizes the main directions of the current vertical screen image research and the general views of scholars on vertical screen composition by analyzing the literature on vertical screen research at home and abroad.At the same time,the representative vertical screen works are sorted out.The second part compares the development history of vertical screen images in the new media era,and summarizes and analyzes the reasons for the current view that vertical screen can only adapt to the development of short videos.At the same time,the history of vertical screen films from the beginning of cinema is reviewed from the perspective of the historical development of cinema.This leads to the conclusion that the vertical screen is not a product of the new era,and that the vertical screen has the possibility of development.The third part combines the author’s graduation work "Kite" and some excellent vertical screen video works.Firstly,we analyze the differences of point,line and surface composition methods in horizontal and vertical composition from a flat frame,and explore the advantages of vertical composition in a flat frame;secondly,we explore the unique features of vertical composition by exploring three shooting angles: high and low,horizontal and vertical;finally,we focus on how to extend horizontal space,expand moving space and create space to realize the richness of composition,and take vertical thinking as the starting point to summarize Finally,we will conclude the picture composition theory of vertical screen image by taking vertical screen thinking as the starting point.The fourth part summarizes and reflects on the creation of the video practice work "Kite".The creation summary is mainly focused on the style of the work,the analysis of the filming equipment and the filming techniques.The creative reflection summarizes the incomplete parts of the work and proposes modifications.The final section concludes with an outlook on the future development of vertical screen video in accordance with the current industry trends. |
