In the age of 5G,reliable mobile broadband and low-delay communication technology have spread moving images across streaming media platforms,and media turnover makes portrait video become the mainstream image created and accepted by the public.Problem ensued,the contemporary practice of vertical screen video came to adopt a way of dramatic creation,namely,use a fixed reservation,shallow depth of field lens,on the basis of the dialogue,by means of single lens,the text do negative graphic way,make the lack of vertical screen video beauty and appeal,still stay in the extensive stage of development.The reason is that the vertical frame limits the picture space of the video,restricts the lateral movement of the camera,and makes it impossible to use the film language in the era of widescreen.Therefore,this paper focuses on the analysis of the reasons for the limited picture space of contemporary portrait video,combined with the portrait practice of the work "Three Dishes and One Soup",analyzes how the depth scheduling theory explores the inside and outside picture space of portrait video in practice,combined with the use of split screen technology to montage techniques,so as to solve the problem of limited picture space of portrait video.How to use traditional film language in portrait video is put forward.
