| In the development of Western music,the twentieth century saw the emergence of a large number of works with different styles and characteristics,which either incorporated folk music characteristics or were unique in their own compositional style,and also saw the emergence of many outstanding composers in this period.In this article,we focus on the Argentine Dances,a piano suite by the twentieth century musician Ginastera,and analyze the stylistic characteristics and performance techniques of this work.The article firstly gives a brief overview of Ginastera’s life and the background of the composition of the Argentine Dances;secondly,on the basis of the analysis of the structure of the piece,the folk music elements contained in the stylistic features of the Argentine Dances and the modern music composition techniques are thoroughly elaborated;finally,the performance techniques of the Argentine Dances are explained in detail through the three aspects of playing style,intensity level and musical expression.Through the in-depth analysis of the stylistic characteristics and performance techniques of the Argentine Dances,combined with the author’s own practical performance experience,this paper hopes to provide some reference and help for other performers in terms of the stylistic characteristics and performance techniques of the music. |
