| As a theme in portraying seasons in Chinese landscape paintings,snow view was strongly favored by the ancient artists because of the “purity and nobility” it contained.The ancient artists portrayed snow view with diverse presentation techniques as well as various ink and brush skills,and they also tried to incorporate the styles of the times and their inner perception to create the ethereal and desolate artistic conception.With the development and changes of the ages,new ideas of foreign modern art are flooding into our society.As a consequence,innovations and breakthroughs in content can be easily witnessed in modern and contemporary snow landscape paintings even heritages from the traditional ones can still be found in terms of themes and techniques.The artistic ideas and creative techniques become more diversified,which also produces richer and more complex aesthetic connotations.This paper employes the methods of literature research,image analysis,comparative research,practice research,etc.From the perspectives of origin and heritage,expression language,evolution of artistic conception,this paper summarizes the history and context of the traditional snow landscape paintings,so as to understand the impact of traditional snow landscape paintings on modern and contemporary ones.This paper also analyzes and studies the development status and creative languages of modern and contemporary snow landscape paintings,summarizes the personalized ink and brush skills as well as the diverse presentation techniques of various painters.And then,it interprets the ideas and schemas of snow landscape paintings,analyzes the regional environment characteristics of the north and south as well as the works of typical painters,so as to explore the idea diversion of modern and contemporary snow landscape paintings and analyze its schema characteristics,which is also the innovation of this paper.At last,this paper takes my copying and creation during my postgraduate studies as examples,to express my personal understanding and inspiration of snow landscape paintings. |
