The Studies On Aesthetic Thought In The Holy Family

Although The Holy Family is not Marx’s work devoted to aesthetics,it contains rich aesthetic thoughts.The main purpose of this thesis is to elucidate the basic connotation of Marxist Aesthetic Thought in The Holy Family;clarify its significance in the construction of Marxist Aesthetic Thought;show that aesthetics occupies an important position in Marx’s overall assumption of human liberation and all-round development;Clarify the theoretical and practical value of the studies on Marx’s Aesthetic Thought in The Holy Family in contemporary Marxist theoretical system.The Holy Family,as one of the landmark texts of the turn of early Marxist Aesthetic Thought,exposes the unreality of speculative aesthetics through the critical interpretation of The Secret of Paris and its related literary criticism,and lays a foundation for the establishment of the basic principles and intrinsic purview of realistic aesthetics.From then on,Marx gradually placed aesthetics in the whole structure of the real social history and revealed the practicality and realism of aesthetics.Different from the traditional aesthetic thoughts,Marxist Aesthetic Thought is no longer a transcendental assumption about human nature,but a kind of social and historical construction based on the reality of human existence and activities.This is the real connotation of the ontological turn of Marxist Aesthetic Thought.This aesthetic turn shows that Marx made beauty and human existence reach the conformity in an essential historical dimension,and tried to construct an aesthetic thought that resorts the ideal of human liberation to human’s historical survival activities,and develops "perceptual" and ontological thinking about the real world,so as to release the liberation potential inherent in aesthetics and the real world.In the end,Aesthetics has essentially become a historical materialistic interpretation of human nature and ideal social system,which is closely connected with Marx’s basic assumption of communism.On the basis of aesthetic turning,political emancipation and aesthetic emancipation have reached a historic unity,and the aesthetic characteristics of Marxist philosophy in the basic and essential level of theory have been truly manifested.In a word,the Aesthetic Thought in The Holy Family has inspired a new perspective to examine and understand the real social situation and human’s living condition.This perspective will enable us to investigate the essential correlation between aesthetics,reality and existence with the help of some new living attituds and thinking strategy,so as to truly highlight the theoretical and practical significance of Marxist Aesthetics.
