A Study Of Word Class In Enshi Dialect

Enshi City is located in the southwest of Hubei Province,and the Enshi dialect belongs to the small dialect of Southwest Mandarin in Hubei.This article mainly focuses on he word class in Enshi dialect.The article is divided into three parts to describe the analysis.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the overview of Enshi,the research object,method and significance of the paper,the research status of Enshi dialect grammar,the phonology of Enshi dialect,and explains the sources and style of the paper’s language materials.The second part is the word classes.This chapter selects pronouns,classifiers,adverbs,prepositions,conjunctions,and particles in Enshi dialect for research,analyzes their usage,and compares them with Standard Mandarin.For pronouns,the paper provides a comprehensive summary of personal pronouns,demonstrative pronouns,and interrogative pronouns,and analyzes the usage and grammar of typical pronouns.In the part of classifiers,we give examples of noun classifiers in Ensch dialect and compare them with Mandarin classifiers.For adverbs,it describes and analyzes the adverbs in Enshi dialect according to five categories: degree,time-frequency,modal,range,and affirmation/negation.For particles,the paper lists four types: structural particles,dynamic particles,comparative particles,and approximate number particles,and compares them with particles in Standard Mandarin.The third part is the conclusion,which summarizes the achievements and shortcomings of this article.
