As a highly favored collector by the Emperor during the Yuan Dynasty,Ke Jiusi’s calligraphy works are reflected in his postscript calligraphy.This article mainly starts with the calligraphy of inscriptions,and elaborates on Ke Jiusi’s artistic philosophy through the content of the inscriptions.Furthermore,through the calligraphy characteristics of Ke Jiusi’s inscriptions,the consistency between artistic ideas and calligraphy style can be discussed.Furthermore,it can be seen that Ke Jiusi is a line of ancient calligraphers.This article mainly discusses from the following three aspects: Firstly,it studies the historical background of Ke Jiusi’s calligraphy with inscriptions from the reasons for the prosperity of inscriptions in the Yuan Dynasty,his personal era,and making friends.Secondly,analyze the characteristics of Ke Jiusi’s calligraphy works in terms of brushwork,composition,and composition,and study the artistic style of Ke Jiusi’s calligraphy.At the same time,compare with Zhao Mengfu and Ouyang Xun’s writing style to elaborate on Ke Jiusi’s teaching methods for both.Thirdly,apply the characteristics of Ke Jiusi’s brushwork,composition,and composition to his own calligraphy creation.
