In The late Qing Dynasty,political turmoil and national strength were declining.Niu Shu Mei is a great change era of many events experience and witnesses,and with some important figures at the time: zeng guofan,Zuo Zongtang,Qi Jun Zao,Hu Linyi in late qing dynasty have a bosom friend.The study of Niu Shumei’s calligraphy art achievements can see several aspects of the political and economic changes at that time,explore the details of some important events,and then see the general direction of the development of calligraphy at that time.To deepen the understanding of the social change and the development of culture and art in this period,so as to make a deeper understanding of the calligraphy art in this period.As an official of one party,Niu Shumei,living in the temple is busy with government affairs,the heart of the people in the river,comfort the livelihood of the people in the region,running in the Bashu land all the year round.With the suffering of the people,his calligraphy works naturally contain more rationality,which is different from the freedom of the literati and calligrapher.This paper is mainly divided into three parts.First,Niu Shumei’s life and the calligraphy art,discuss its artistic style in different periods.Third,through the study of Niu Shumei’s calligraphy art,summarize its artistic characteristics,copy and write according to its style.
