Balthus’ s figurative paintings are unique in their presentation and individuality and are unique in the art trend in which he is living.His insistence on figurative and traditional painting concepts and forms is highly respected,with clumsy and interesting shapes,exaggerated and individual;geometric compositions are quiet and elegant;the colors of figures and scenes are simple and light;between the real world and the virtual between the real world and the virtual.Chassebau was a place of great inspiration for Balthus,and the numerous paintings of Balthus during this period underwent a certain stylistic change that distinguished Balthus’ s paintings from his earlier paintings of the 1930 s and 1940 s and was of great importance to his later artistic production.This thesis attempts to provide an in-depth analysis of the formal language of Balthus’ s paintings during the Chassebau period,which is discussed and analyzed in three main chapters.The first chapter begins with Balthus’ s artistic history,focusing on his talented life and the subjective and objective factors that influenced the formation of the formal language of Balthus’ s Chassebau period paintings.The second chapter discusses the formal language of Balthus’ s paintings,starting with his landscapes,interior figure paintings and still life paintings from the Chassebau period,and focuses on the formal language of his paintings in terms of composition,figure shape,spatial layers,as well as how to deal with light and shadow in the picture and how to use brushwork texture.The third chapter focuses on the author’s influences from Baltis’ paintings and the analysis of the author’s paintings.Taking Balthus’ s paintings from Chassebau period as a starting point,we will analyze his conceptions and forms of painting to appreciate his creative philosophy.Through learning and absorbing,we will accumulate experience for our own artistic creation. |
