In the age of globalisation, which is full of dromology, dromology not only appears in the material aspects of social development, but also penetrates and reshapes the way aesthetic subjects see and perceive the world. The arrival of dromology offers a new way of life and aesthetic experience, becoming a unique cultural phenomenon in modernity that is profoundly transforming human society.French intellectual theorist Paul Virilio constructs his aesthetic thought from the core framework of dromology critique, thus opening up a new field of aesthetic research, realising the aesthetic turn of dromology critique and giving a new life to the aesthetic paradigm of dromology research.Instead of criticizing modern literary theory through the lens of entertainment, consumption, and audience,he studies the aesthetics of dromology studies from novel perspectives such as time and space, the body, technique, and media, and provides an in-depth explanation of the disappearing aesthetics of dromology society. This paper does not aim to use Virilio’s theory of velocimetry to examine the phenomenon of velocipedal society in everyday life, but rather to engage in a dialogue with Virilio and consider the aesthetic representations of dromology in the present moment as a point of view. The thesis contains the following four main parts: the introduction focuses on the purpose and significance of the study, examines the current state of research at home and abroad, and proposes research ideas and methods. The first chapter introduces the origins of Virilio’s idea of dromology, including the background of the times, the theoretical background and the conceptualisation of "dromologyology".It is in the context of the theoretical debate that Virilio’s unique tachistology is finally developed. The second chapter systematically expounds Virilio’s aesthetic thought on dromology, mainly based on Virilio’s related research works, and compares its theoretical implications in terms of spatio-temporal subversion, disorientation transition and technological prosthetics,in order to clarify the fog of Virilio’s thinking on the aesthetics of dromology, focus on the aesthetic phenomenon under the influence of dromology and the resulting reshaping of the perception of the aesthetic subject, and further examine the multifaceted influence of dromology on the modern human spirit under the digital existence. The multifaceted impact of dromology on the modern human spirit. This is followed by a discussion of Virilio’s aesthetic critique and reflection on dromology as the core of his thinking, which progresses from temporal, emotional to virtual, expounding on the aesthetic implications of Virilio’s idea of dromology, leading to Virilio’s aesthetic proposals for a "museum of accidents" and an "aesthetics of slow living".The redemption programme. The third chapter focuses on the significance and limitations of Virilio’s aesthetic thought on dromology, and attempts to make an overall assessment of Virilio’s aesthetic thought on dromology.Virilio’s aesthetic leap forward was achieved through the grafting of dromology and aesthetics. He takes a humanistic standpoint to deliver an answer to the problem of modern capitalist social governance, reforming society in a moderate way of aesthetic redemption, trying to save the aesthetic individual who is deeply trapped in the dilemma of modernity, and powerfully expanding the path of aesthetic criticism. At the same time,it is also important to see the flaws in Virilio’s idea of racing aesthetics, which fails to start with the fundamental contradictions of capitalism and instead exaggerates the role of art and aesthetics in transforming the world, reconstructing individual perception through artificial deceleration. This avoidance and neglect of the essential problems of the real political system ultimately deprives his solutions of their theoretical and practical implications, making them extremely weak and lacking in revolutionary, realistic and operational qualities, and thus in need of further improvement and refinement.
