As a representative of popular literature,Yuan Opera plays an important role in the history of Chinese drama with great achievements.Among them,the Immortal and Taoist dramas accounted for a high proportion in the number of Yuan Opera,and such works showed distinct mathematical consciousness."Mathematical" refers not only to the "destiny" in literary works as the concept of ancient philosophy,but also to the specific numbers and the philosophical significance contained by cultural accumulation.With regard to the obvious tradition of "relying on numbers" and the prominent thought of "mathematical theory" in the opera text,this paper intends to start from the theory of mathematical criticism,and interpret the text of the works’ fate criticism,frame structure criticism,plot and language model criticism,rhythm criticism,etc.contained in the drama of Immortality and Taoiam in the Yuan Dynasty.The paper is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion,of which the body is composed of five chapters:The first chapter,"The concept of destiny and the institutional structure of the Taoist drama of the Yuan Dynasty",mainly expounds that "destiny" are the basis of the intention of the drama.At the beginning of the drama,the idea of "destiny" is often expressed in the form of strange celestial phenomena,dream omens and divine signs;The framework structure of drama is also formed under the idea of "the circle of heaven",which is expressed as a circular pattern.The system structure of "one book and four folds" fits this circular framework.The second chapter,"The Mathematical Research on the Character Setting of the Immortal and Taoiam Drama of the Yuan Dynasty",analyzes the mathematical mechanism of the names and nicknames of various characters,the combination of characters and their implications in the drama.The combination of characters in fairy and Taoist dramas is mainly composed of three people,forming a relatively stable "three-pole" relationship.The combination of two people and four people also plays a role in the evolution of drama stories with specific significance.The third chapter,"Mathematical Research on the Plot Setting of the Immortal and Taoiam Drama of the Yuan Dynasty".The Immortal and Taoiam Drama focuses on the plot of Dutuo,so the main part of opera is Dutuo becoming an immortal.The process of Dutuo shows an obvious "three complex" plot,which has special aesthetic significance in the text of the drama and the stage performance.The fourth chapter,"Mathematical Research on the Performance Factors in the Immortal Taoist Drama of the Yuan Dynasty",focuses on the use of "number" in the performance actions,performance language and performance props in the study of drama,and points out its ideological significance.Drama is a stage art.In performance,it is necessary to obtain good stage effect at the appropriate scale,and to grasp the appropriate rhythm depending on various performance factors,which needs to conform to the order of "number".The fifth chapter,"The Academic Significance of" Mathematical Criticism "in the Immortal and Taoiam Drama of the Yuan Dynasty",points out that the application of "Mathematical Criticism" theory to the interpretation of drama works,on the one hand,explores a new path for the study of drama,and on the other hand,can lead to a new understanding of "Mathematical Criticism",which has important constructive significance for mathematical criticis.
