The revision of literary works is a common phenomenon in the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature,and the study of versions of works is also an important component of the study of modern and contemporary Chinese literature.The Memoirs of the Anti Japanese War "is an autobiographical memoir created by Guo Moruo in Hong Kong in1948,reflecting the Anti Japanese War.It was first published in the" Huashang Daily "and was later revised and published in the" Wen Hui Po "in 1950.In 1958,it was renamed" Hong Bo Qu-Memoirs of the Anti Japanese War "and published in the" People’s Literature "magazine.The monograph published by Tianjin Baihua Literature and Art Publishing House in 1959 also had certain modifications.Why did the author modify,what specific content was modified,how was the modification done,and what impact did it have? These are all questions worth considering and researching,but predecessors either lack research or lack in-depth research,at least they have not seen comprehensive and systematic research results,let alone a master’s degree thesis that answers the above questions.In order to solve these problems,this thesis,from the perspective of text generation,communication,reception,collation,and hermeneutics,takes a"interdisciplinarity" [Jin Hongyu.Version Criticism of New Literature [M] Wuhan: Wuhan University Press,2007:37-50] conducted an investigation of "Hongbo Qu" to fill in the gaps in previous research and correct some inaccurate understandings of previous research results.The first chapter is an introduction,which elaborates on the significance of researching the revision of "Hongbo Qu",sorts out the history and current situation of research on this topic,and summarizes the academic history of the previous research achievements related to this topic.Define the important concepts involved in this article,subdivide the names of different versions of works,and indicate the innovative aspects of this article.The second chapter analyzes the historical background of the different versions of "Hongbo Qu" and answers the question of "how the work was produced and why it was modified".This part of the content has been less involved in previous studies.This chapter aims to understand the context of Guo Moruo’s creation and modification of "Hongbo Qu" by returning to the era of the generation and evolution of his works,and further explore the macro motivations behind the generation and evolution of his works.The 1948 "Memoirs of the Anti Japanese War" was created at the invitation of the person in charge of the "Huashang Daily".On the basis of continuing the characteristics of Guo Moruo’s previous autobiography,it also has some "uniqueness".In 1958,Guo Moruo’s literary and artistic concepts underwent a change,and the author’s ideological changes were reflected in his works,resulting in the emergence of certain new qualities in the text.This chapter analyzes the dissemination mechanism,publication style,and audience of "Huashang Daily" and "People’s Literature",and studies the impact of social awareness,dissemination institutions,and reader acceptance on writers’ creative activities.At the same time,it also analyzed the impact of the changes in the author’s own literary and artistic concepts on the "functional significance" of the work.By restoring the background of the work,it provides reference for future understanding of Guo Moruo’s modification motivation and the characteristics of different versions of the work.Chapter 3 answers the question of what specific modifications have been made to "Hongbo Qu" by proofreading the main versions of "Hongbo Qu".After the publication of "Memoirs of the Anti Japanese War",it was first revised in 1950 and published in "Wen Hui Po".The revised content in the "Wen Hui Po" version was relatively small,and the overall impact of the modified content on the work was not significant.Therefore,this analysis was not focused on.After the second revision in 1958,it was renamed as "Hongbo Qu-Memoirs of the Anti Japanese War" and published in "People’s Literature".This revision was the most extensive,so this chapter focuses on it as the main object of investigation.The single volume "Hongbo Qu-Memoirs of the Anti Japanese War" published by Tianjin Baihua Literature and Art Publishing House in1959 was the third revision,which is analyzed in detail in Chapter 4.This chapter provides a detailed review of the revisions to the "People’s Literature" edition,compares and analyzes the revisions of the "Hongbo Qu" published in the "People’s Literature" magazine to the "Memoirs of the Anti Japanese War" published in the "Huashang Daily",and conducts a "micro motivation" analysis of each detail revision.Systematically summarize the modified content,from format,characters,words,sentences to content,and provide several examples for each modification according to the situation,filling in the gaps in previous research on this part of the content.The fourth chapter mainly explores the issue of "how well the modifications were made" in "Hongbo Qu",and analyzes the impact of Guo Moruo’s modifications on "Hongbo Qu".This chapter draws on various theoretical methods,such as the relevant theories in Kevin’s "Three Notes to History".The first two sections of this chapter analyzed the historical and literary elements in "Hongbo Qu",and explored the impact of previous revisions on the historical and literary aspects of the text.The continuous changes in the revision of "Hongbo Qu" reflect the weakening of the tonality of history as a "vivid memory of those who have experienced it",and the "literary" nature of the work is constantly disappearing.This feature is particularly evident in the modifications of the Hundred Flower Edition,so the third section of this chapter focuses on analyzing the modifications made in the Hundred Flower Edition to address the "Changsha Great Fire" incident.Analyze the underlying logic of the debate between Guo Moruo and Zhang Zhizhong and the impact of this revision on the work.Chapter 5 summarizes the research methods,viewpoints,conclusions,and values of this article.This thesis examines the revision of Hong Bo Qu in a way of "interdisciplinarity",and analyzes the impact of the revision on the work.Guo Moruo’s modification of historical details based on the purpose of seeking truth enhances the objectivity of the text as "historical knowledge".However,modifications based on ideological and other purposes have led to the weakening of the "richness of human nature" and "emotional authenticity" of the text,the concealment of detailed descriptions of spiritual experiences,and the gradual transformation of vivid individual memories into "historical knowledge" and "ideological mythology",even constituting a form of oppression under discourse hegemony.In summary,this article systematically answers the questions of how "Hongbo Qu" was produced,how it was modified,why it was modified,and how it was modified.On the basis of examining the changes in its versions,this thesis presents the "projection" of era changes in the author’s works,and reflects the microcosm of the ideological and behavioral changes of writers in a specific era from Guo Moruo’s personal behavior.This thesis expands the research on the content that has not been fully explained by the predecessors,fills some omissions,launches the research on modern and contemporary autobiographical editions from the perspective of "interdisciplinarity",analyzes the historical value and literary value of the works themselves,and at the same time thinks about the multiple ways of historical and literary research to supplement some of the missing contents of the research on Chinese modern and contemporary literary editions.
