As an important type of complex sentences, inflected complex sentences are essential in the process of practical translation and daily communication between Chinese and Kazakh. The research on inflected compound sentences has focused more on the special studies of inflected related words, inflected markers and inflected relational categories. However, the research on the Chinese and Kazakh inflectional complex is still incomplete.Based on the previous research results on the syntactic structure and the use of related words, this paper uses the example method to improve the classification and composition of Chinese and Kazakh inflected complex sentences, the comparison method to classify the semantic relations of Chinese and Kazakh inflected complex sentences and find out the similarities and differences, and the analysis method to analyze the pragmatic functions of Chinese and Kazakh inflected complex sentences with the aim of using the language accurately and improving the communicative ability. The translation strategy, translation methods and translation techniques are also used to study the translation of the translated example sentences, which can enable the readers of the translated text to receive equivalent information, reduce the difficulty of reading comprehension and promote Chinese and Kazakh language and cultural exchange. In this paper,we take the inflected complex sentences in Lu Xun’s ERXINJI and its Kazakh translation as the object of study and the source of prediction, and collect a total of 519 cross-referenced sentences for example analysis. The research questions on the constitutive forms, semantic relations and pragmatic functions of the Chinese and Kazakh inflected plurals are studied, and the translation equivalence is explored in three aspects: translation strategies, translation methods and translation techniques in relation to the specific example sentences. This paper consists of three main parts:introduction, body and conclusion, and the body part includes four chapters. The first chapter is the definition and classification of Chinese-Kazakh inflectional complexes. The definitions of Chinese and Kazakh inflectional plurals have been defined by scholars and their opinions are similar, while the classification of Chinese and Kazakh inflectional plurals has many different opinions. Therefore, the focus of this chapter is to crawl through the literature, organize and summarize the corpus in the ERXINJI and translations, and classify them according to the strength of the transitive degree. The Chinese inflections are divided into three categories: heavy, light and weak inflections, and the Kazakh inflections are divided into two categories:heavy and light inflections, and the classification of the Chinese and Kazakh inflections is corroborated by examples of the corpus. The second chapter is devoted to the classification of the Kazakh inflectional complexes. The second chapter is a comparison and translation of Chinese and Kazakh inflected plurals in the ERXINJI.First, the chapter explains the forms of Chinese and Kazakh inflected complexes, which are divided into two categories according to whether or not they use inflected related words. Then,we compare and analyze the constituent forms of Chinese and Kazakh inflected complex sentences, and discuss the translation study in terms of translation strategies, translation methods and translation techniques with the example sentences. Finally, the similarities and differences are identified and summarized to provide the corresponding basis for the correct use of Chinese and Kazakh inflected compound sentence composition forms. The third chapter is a comparison and translation of the semantic relationship between the Chinese and Kazakh inflected compound sentences in the ERXINJI Collection. The semantic relations of Chinese and Kazakh inflected complex sentences are described, and their semantic relations are classified separately, such as the semantic relations of Chinese inflected complex sentences are divided into opposite and relative, complementary and restrictive, and cause-effect violation relations, while the semantic relations of Kazakh inflected complex sentences are divided into parallel, progressive and cis-continuous relations. The in-depth analysis of the example sentences according to translation theory is an important way to compare the similarities and differences of semantic relations between the two languages. The fourth chapter the analysis of the semantic function and translation of the Chinese and Kazakh inflected complex sentences in the ERXINJI.First of all,the pragmatic functions of the Chinese and Kazakh inflected complex are divided into three types: contrastive interpretation, supplementary emphasis and polite euphemism. Then, the specific pragmatic functions are analyzed through the example of the Chinese and Kazakh comparative corpus, and the translation strategies, methods and techniques used by the translators are explored. It is hoped that this will enrich the research on the pragmatic functions of the Chinese and Kazakh inflectional complex.
